10.0“Clean and cozy family-run guesthouse in an amazing location and also organizes reasonably priced authentic tours”
+Amazing location, the bedroom and the bathroom are very clean and tidy. A few mins walk to the monastery and Seoul street, with many grocery stores nearby. It’s a small family-run guesthouse that feels very cozy. The guesthouse also organizes tours and we did two tours 1-Karakorum, Mini-Gobi, Khustai, and 2- Chinggis Khan status, Terelj national park with Dugeree. During the tours, we also stayed with a very kind nomadic family in a Ger. The tours are very well-organized, feel authentic and Dugeree speaks very good English. The tours are also reasonably priced, especially comparing to tour agencies we asked before coming to Mongolia. Thank you Dugeree for such an unforgettable Mongolia experience!
−There was no breakfast when we stayed there, but that was not an issue for us as there are a lot of grocery stores and restaurant nearby.

6.0“Ok-ish hostel that works for short stays but didn‘t meed our expectations.”
+The location in proximity to the grounds of a beautiful Buddhist monastery is nice. Walk to the center takes around 30 minutes. It should be noted that the hostel is sort of in a ger district. The airport tranfer was handy and worked well.
−The kitchen is very poorly equipped, with one cooking plate for 20(?) people, and otherwise few and old utensils. It was stated that breakfast could be preordered, but that service was not available when we were there. We had a room with a private bathroom, but there is no sink, which is impractical. Rooms are very small and not very soundproof. There was laundry service for a fair fee, but some laundry got mixed up with other people‘s laundry, and I don’t revommend having clothes washed that need sensitive handling. This was our first stay at a hostel, which we chose for community and to meet other travellers, but we got the impression that the poorly equipped and non-cozy common area does not foster a good social environment. This experience is of course only a snapshot from during our stay, but it is what we experienced. We found a beautiful, central apartment for our second stay in Ulaanbaatar for only slighly more money.

9.0+The owner is very helpful, location is a bit further from center but in a very quiet area. Definitely recommended for people travelling with bicycle (cardboard can be stored in the garage)!

8.0+Shared shower for the private rooms was clean and mostly available. Overall the kitchen can be better equipped but the area is big and comfortable.
−The dormitory washroom/shower are unisex with no curtains or optional for privacy. And people frequently walking in from the main living area… Extra 3% on credit card. Laundry is pricey, but there are couple self-laundry 17-20min walk.
