“A cosy guest house with kind hosts”
+The place was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay during the Shimanami Kaido. It isn't far off the main cycling route, and you get to see some of the local area while you are at it. The hosts were super kind, and gave us great tips for which route to take and places to visit after we left. As we booked a family room, we got the entire room to ourselves with a toilet connected to it.

“Easily the best hostel I've been to”
+The staff was very friendly and helpful! They directed us toward a restaurant that could accommodate our dietary restrictions, which we would have struggled with had we not gotten that assistance. The facilities were modern and clean. The room we got was incredibly spacious, much more than we would have gotten from a normal hotel room. The pillows were also much more comfortable than what I ever get in hotels. If I ever bike the Shimanami Kaido again, I will definitely return to this lovely hostel.

“Great place to stay when biking the Shimanami Kaido”
+A really nice stay at Tonari Guesthouse on my Shimanami Kaido biking trip. The couple hosting me were so nice and had organized everything very thoughtfully! The whole house is extremely clean, nice and beautifully furnished in Japanese style. They even provided me with supplies to visit a nearby bath house and carrot sticks for the rabbits on Rabbit Island. The bed was so comfortable and I slept so well. The place definitely exceeded my expectations!

+This is a lovely place to stay. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful people. The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed in the 4 bed family room which was spacious and had a private toilet. There is a kitchen / living area and a separate cafe space for relaxing. The island itself is very pleasant and there is plenty to do in the local area or by a short bike ride or bus trip.
