6.0“Fair, but customer service and breakfast need a lot more improvement.”
+Loved the pool as it was nice and quiet. Lots of insects assumingely due to the nearby forest.
−Not all, but most of the staff lacked customer care, considering the price paid, this should have been better. The breakfast was also extremely underwhelming, no variety nor culinary expertise.

7.0“Stay was great, but checking out process was terrible.”
+I liked the rooms the most, very well organized and large. I liked the balcony especially as they are large and shaded by the tall trees. I also liked the walkability within the compound though the compound wasn't as large as I would have liked.
−Our checkout was a disaster due to the property's inconvenient policies and poor communication. When we departed at around 7:15 AM, the checkout desk was unattended because its operating hours are strictly 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, a physical checkout is required. This created a major issue because the compound's restaurant does not accept credit cards or cash; all expenses must be charged to the room and paid in full at checkout. I mistakenly assumed that having my credit card on file would allow payment to be processed automatically in my absence. Instead, later that day while I was on a safari, I received a very accusatory phone call from the lodge owner demanding immediate payment via MPesa. I explained that I do not have an MPesa account and could only pay by credit card. She then sent a credit card payment link to a very slow, buggy website. Despite poor cellular reception in the game park and the stress of missing out on the safari experience, I eventually managed to get the charge authorized. I later texted the owner with constructive, friendly suggestions to help them avoid similar issues with future guests. I did not make any accusations, yet I never received a respons

10.0+The accommodation is truly unique, beautiful and well-maintained. It perfectly matches the pictures and feels like stepping into a jungle paradise. The pool area is a great place to relax and the pool itself is very clean. Swimming after sunset is highly recommended! Staff were nice and accommodating. It is also useful that you can do your laundry for 2000 KES, even though it only makes sense if you have more clothes to wash. Rooms were big and bed very comfy. Omnipresent monkeys coming to say good morning to you is a very special addition, just be careful - they can sneak in quickly and quietly and before you know it, they are enjoy your protein bar on the roof :). Highly recommended!
−We would appreciate if it was possible to refill your water; the water bottle that is refilled once a day is not enough for two people. It would be also nice to have the possibility to borrow the iron, not only to pay for your clothes to be ironed. But the advantages definitely outweigh these minor drawbacks.

10.0+We were very happy with our stay at Tombo House! The hotel is located in a big forest area, giving an authentic and natural vibe to the facility. From almost everywhere you see big and small monkeys jumping around the trees. The staff was very friendly and polite, although it's true that they really work a lot in different positions. The pool area and the lobby were very comfortable to relax and the breakfast was excellent too, giving a wide variety and on demand Omelette, egg station. The room was big and spacious with an amazing terrace, giving you the feeling that you are inside the jungle. All windows are equipped with mosquito nets and the showers were great. Hot water combined with high water pressure is very pleasant. In general, the details in the room and in the area are carefully designed and give a very local and authentic touch. Lastly, I want to point out that the hotel provides WhatsApp numbers of Tuk Tuk drivers who (in our case) immediately reacted to the requests and arrived at the hotel within 10min, making transport around Diani and Ukunda easy and hassle-free.
−I agree with some comments that the road towards the facility can be quite sketchy at night due to lack of road lights.

10.0“Meraviglioso”
