“Lovely stay. Spacious and cosy after a day on the slopes.”
+The room was very spacious with lots of storage. Staff were friendly. Clean property with big drying room for snow gear. Easy to walk to slopes and several restaurants in the area. Discounted ski pass and rental gear was a massive plus!
−Really good but note you need to book breakfast 24hrs in advance and this didn’t cater for vegetarians. Plenty of options locally though.

“Would definitely stay again”
+The location was great for our first stay in Nozawa, we had everything we needed and felt so welcomed by the lovely staff. The value during the winter season was amazing - only a short walk to the lifts and shops around Nozawa.

“Lovely stay in nozawaonsen”
+Good location. Slight walk to the ski slopes - totally doable. Host is extremely nice. Place is set up very well with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 2 min walk to public bath. 2 min to Central bus stop to catch Nozawa onsen liner or shuttle bus to ski slopes. Breakfast was delicious!!!

“Perfect”
+The homeowner was so welcoming and kind, and took exceptionally good care of us during our stay. The room was spacious, equipped with a heater and a sink inside, and I love the experience of sleeping on tatami+futon. There is also a beautiful balcony overlooking the small front garden. The breakfast were delicious as well, and prepared me well for the day of snowboarding. The host also kindly helped me receive my luggages sent via yamato takkyubin. The property was at a great location for easy access to the Nozawa Onsen Liner to-fro Iiyama station, as well as the shuttle bus that goes to Nagasaka Gondola Station. The center of town was also accessible with a quick 5 mins walk. There is also the shinden onsen just 1 min away.
−Nothing.

“Nozawa Gem”
+The property is in such a great location. Tucked away but still close to everything. The owners go above and beyond, nothing is any trouble. The rooms are large and facilities are always spotless. Daily breakfast was a treat and different everyday. I hope we can stay again!
−Nothing, everything was perfect.

+Beautiful traditional ryokan with a wonderful host in a very central location close to bus stops, cafes and restaurants. Facilities are well kept and clean. Drying room is excellent. Room was spacious with very comfortable futon beds. Showers/bathrooms are shared but have individual stalls for privacy. Breakfast was 10/10. We will be back!

+Great accommodation which is located close to the town / lifts. The best thing was the beds. The duvets were so comfortable and the beds just felt so cosy after a big day on the snow.

+Overall, the room was clean and tidy with comfortable bedding and basic amenities (wardrobe, sink, safe, etc). Rooms warm and well insulated. Common facilities were standard with renovated showers (which were amazing). Laundry onsite. Overall, the offering is a basic budget accom with minimum amenities.
−No common area or facilities to work comfortably (breakfast area locked after breakfast). Resorts lift discount was relatively small compared to other resorts (perhaps out of their control). A couple of FYI's that may not clear from the listing: no onsen, host doesn't speak English and entire premises locked after 11pm (can't get back in if you stay out late).
