“The White Buck solo traveller short stay”
+It was cozy and warm. Nice and quiet. Staff were really friendly and welcoming in all areas. I loved the snug area. Though small if hotel was busy. Lovely food both nights dining in restaurant in evenings and at at breakfast. Extremely well cooked and breakfaat staff very attentive. Beautiful location for a mini retreat. Loved the fresh milk for the bedroom made a very good cup of tea. Plus shortbread biscuits on arrival and a freebie London Pride tipple was a nice gesture. I ate both nights at the hotel with guests who are local to the area and top stars all round for a lovely evening and delicious food. Location magnificent naturally.
−The pillows in the bed room were quite hard. I prefer something that has some give. The heating was high first night but it is an old building. Main bathroom towels are quite small ideally more wrap around. There was some damp in my room on the walls in corners and in the bathroom near the shower there was mould build up. Plus a rusty nail thing on ceiling. The carpeting around the hotel and bedroom with stains was alot to be desired. Possible replacment or have wood flooring in keeping with the house. Bed side lamps too bright even on lowest point. Not complaints but upkeep and maintenance needs some consideration which would then in turn help deliver what is a very lovely hotel otherwise. Lots of little touches made it a lovely restful two day retreat.

“Rustic charm in the New Forest”
+The property is located in a corner of the New Forest. It provides an old world charm and caters for couples, families and furry families. The dinning was excellent and the breakfast is plentiful. The property is ideally placed to explore the New Forest either on foot or by car. Just be very weary of the free roaming animals.
−Nothing to report

“very good”
+breakfast always a real treat... would be useful if you could book dog-friendly rooms on booking.com. it is made impossible because you name the rooms differently to the hotel itself, so you can't tell which are dog friendly. Very annoying.
−please see above, ended up having to go without dogs which was really annoying as booking.com was cheaper than going direct with hotel... this needs better clarity for dog owners as i added dogs to my filter when searching for a room

“Good value for bed & breakfast and good location for New Forest walks”
+Lots of character and stylishly decorated on the ‘deer’ theme. A bit like a highland lodge.
