“Perfect for a stopover with a nice meal.”
+Cleaned and modern room. The staff in the restaurant/bar were really welcoming and friendly.
−The room, especially the shower/bathroom are tiny.

“Fantastic place all round. Very different from other hotels it was mostly a pub with exceptional food. Unusual setting”
+Room was set away from main building - in annex. Parking was directly outside the room and under cover. Wonderful food and fabulous staff.
−For me - it was difficult to find.

“Not great but did the job”
+Location useful for my purposes
−Bathroom had a lot of hair in it and pretty sure people in car park could see right through the blind into the bathroom (ground floor and facing car park) and food was quite expensive for what it was

“Surprising stay in an excellent location with great food.”
+The Location is excellent. Our room was large enough and the beds were very comfortable. Both breakfast and our dinner on the first evening were very good, the steak and ale pie was delicious.
−Our room must have had very thin walls because our neighbours on the first night kept us awake long after the "quiet hours" came into force. Eventually I had to get dressed and knock on their door to complain. The shower stall in our bathroom was tiny, there was no where to put anything.

“Won’t return.”
+The bar staff in the evening were lovely.
−It was very small. We felt like we were sleeping on top of each other. In the morning the tablet to check out wasn’t working and I couldn’t find a staff member to help. I eventually managed to check out on my phone. It was just way harder than it should’ve been

“Would not stay again.”
+We used the accommodation to have quick access to a wedding which was 7mins away. The room was very clean. Good amount of parking. We aren't sure we loved the self serve check in. It feels a little impersonal however the bar staff were on hand to speak to if needed. We had a small double room and it was a tight fit for two people. The hanging space did not allow a mid length dress to hang. The ironing board was a table one which was half the length of a normal ironing board and was difficult to use without creating more creases.
−The bed was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the people in the room next to us speaking like they were in our room. We were also woken up many times to the sound of someone plugging something into a power socket. Each time someone passed in the corridor the door would rattle. I had a discount applied to the room but I still don't think it was worth £100 a night.

−Sadly the rooms are small and pokey, the lights didn’t work, there was issues with parking as the car park isn’t big enough for a hotel and restaurant. Over all I wasn’t impressed

“Not entirely happy”
+The location is great for drive touring and for other nearby facilities like bars and restaurants. Parking is excellent. Access system is easy.
−The room, although small, would have been acceptable. However, the shower was possibly the worst we have ever encountered. So small that you had to breathe in to get in and out through the very small door opening. A high step to get in and out which Is for genuine plumbing reasons, but no hand hold to assist that process, making a precarious undertaking to enter and exit. Also the shower head did not fit the holder and also sprayed water from the head to hose fitting. Toilet paper wasn't replaced when it ran out. No apparent system to ask for customer assistance. Tea cups provided but never cleaned or replaced. The bar/restaurant seemed to have cutlery left on table where no one was eating but people were sitting having a drink. This didn't seem like a good idea when fidget fingers start handling other people's utensils.
