“Ideal for a short break”
+Ideally located for Brooklands Motor Museum. A former historic coaching Inn with modern extensions. The rooms and food were fine for a very reasonably priced hotel.
−Bar prices were very greedy for beer and simple packet bar snacks!

“Excellent for a short or long stay in this pleasant village.”
+Although this is an attractive, historic hotel located on the main road of the mainly unspoiled rural village of Ripley, the A3 and the M25 are only a few minutes drive away. We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room with the medieval bar and restaurant of the main hotel a few yards away. They served excellent food with a good wine list and several real ales All the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and cheerful giving what came across to me as the happy atmosphere of a well run hotel.
−We had a problem with the WiFi reception in our room but this was taken seriously and resolved ASAP by the management.

“Very enjoyable”
+Food was excellent and accommodation fine
−The free parking only had 3 spaces so on the first night we had to park in the public carpark alongside so had to go out by 8am to feed the meter. The WiFi was only available in the restaurant not in our room in the annex.

“Charming historic building which was comfortable and convenient”
+Location was perfect for me. Lovely old building which has kept its charm. Staff and food on the whole were great and good value for money. Room was comfortable and warm. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again
−Inconsistency with breakfast. Friday morning was brilliant, the choice, food and staff. Saturday morning was acceptable but didn’t live up to the expectations set by my experience the morning before. Bar closing at 10.30pm seems a little early in my opinion

“Good base for exploring area or as an overnight.”
+Nice clean & spacious big 1st floor accommodation , with good sized bathroom set in separate building from the main pub. All the expected facilities in good working order. Good menu & food served in the pub. Breakfast included & served again in a annex room away from pub, nice full English prepared to order. Very small car park to rear [4 cars max] but there is a reasonably priced public car park next to it. Keys given to access accommodation anytime during stay. Only stair access to 1st floor, so request one of ground floor rooms if a problem. Staff were attentive & helpful.
