“excellent hotel, centally located and good value for money”
+We had a standard double which was more than adequate, ensuite & tea/coffee making facilities. as a guest we could make a reservation for dinner which was great with a good choice of food. location was central giving easy access to the town, harbour, restaurants etc. staff were extremely helpful and friendly. would definitely stay here again.
−there was nothing we did not like about this hotel.

“Cosy stay in historic Rye”
+Lovely cosy place in the centre of Rye, staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was fantastic, we ate here on our second night and the food we had was restaurant quality and very reasonably priced, we would definitely stay here again.
−The room was a bit draughty due to the sash windows, but the thick curtains kept this to a minimum.

+All the staff were great - really welcoming and engaging. Super breakfast included with excellent quality for evening meals as well. Location in the centre of the town is perfect. Our room had great character since the building is 16th Century and internal features have been retained. The bathroom area looked to have been recently fitted out and the room as a whole was sizeable with plenty of storage. Would definitely stay again.
−The position of the bath with shower over was a little tricky to access. For older guests a strategically placed grab handle would be a good idea.

−there wasnt anything we didnt like but a very minor point the light in the bedroom was a little difficult for things like shaving.

“A great place in the centre of Rye with attentive staff”
+Great location in the centre of town - wonderful old English pub with very friendly staff. The atmosphere was great at all times of the day. The evening meal & breakfast choice was lovely and we would highly recommend everyone to stay here. Parking is nearby, about 3 mins walk but not a problem. We would definitely return. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay

“Absolutely full of charm, great staff, great location.”
+Absolutely charming. (Very old building with well done mod cons.) Great location. Very friendly helpful staff. Amazing breakfast included in restaurant/pub downstairs.
−Can be noisy from restaurant/pub downstairs at night, but they thoughtfully supply earplugs although we didn’t use them. Just part of the ambiance…
