+Parking was across the quiet narrow road and visible from inside very convenient. Room was lovely we had room 1 which had a balcony and picture window. Some facilities may have required updating however you have to remember this is a very old building and is sympathetic to its age and character. Staff were lovely food was good and wholesome breakfast used good quality ingredients. If you are looking for a modern all cons this is not the place for you if you are looking for a place to stay with amazing views full of character and good food and service this is the place for you.

+We're not really sure why The Sloop was listed as a 4 star hotel. It is a modest place situated in a beautiful part of the Wye Valley. Our room was small (we did book a small double) with basic furnishings and an ensuite. The water pressure in the shower was challenging. Supper was traditional pub grub that was tasty and enough for us. The whole place was very quiet (we seemed to be the only people staying) and there were a scattering of locals in the bar. The inn is set up to handle a substantial clientele so perhaps we were just staying late in the season. The full breakfast (which is included in the room price) was excellent with a lovely waitress. Beautifully cooked.
