“Great getaway”
+The grounds were beautiful; the beach awesome.
−Some of the staff could have been more welcoming for a 5 star hotel. There was no iron in the room. You had to pay to get things ironed. For a 5 star hotel that is ridiculous.

“Wonderful and relaxing hotel in Tunis”
+A wonderful 5-star hotel, The Residence Tunis offers a fantastic relaxing experience while being less ostentatious and more authentic than other, perhaps newer, hotels operated by major international chains also located in Gammarth. The pool is huge, the sandy beach is very nice, the breakfast buffet is perfect, and the room was also very nice. But the real strength of this hotel is the exceptional hospitality of its staff. Managers can be proud of their teams, from the doormen to the front desk, from the poolside restaurant to the housekeeping staff and the main bar, everyone was kind and attentive. This hotel has a soul, if I ever return to Tunis, this is where I’ll stay for sure.
−Absolutely nothing.

“An overpriced and deeply disappointing experience that falls far short of five-star standards.”
+Nothing
−Front desk staff are extremely rude, arrogant and unwelcoming. We waited over half an hour to check in despite check-in starting from 3pm. They were trying to tell me that I had not made a twin room reservation although I had and failed to let me know that children were not allowed in the indoor pool despite seeing me with a child and me asking about the indoor pool opening times on more than one occasion. I felt it was deceitful and misleading. Only after I had paid and wanted to use the indoor pool did they decide to inform me. The manager was however nice and tried to rectify the situation by making an exception during my stay and offering a dinner at the hotel. However, I will not be coming back and do not advise those with children to stay here. This hotel should be marketed as an adult only hotel because this is how the hotel is being run.

“Rigtig godt hotel og god valuta for pengene”
+Rigtig flot hotel.
