“We were visiting family and would happily stay again.”
+The rooms are in an exclusive courtyard so quiet and private. The room included a separate relaxation area/sofa which made a home from home feel … the furnishings were also lovely.
−We had anticipated eating in the pub but having stayed on a Tuesday evening the pub was closed. Open Wednesday to Sunday. So take this into account. We did not meet anyone face to face during our stay, hence the poor score about staff.

+Very clean and friendly, welcoming staff; the room was great value for money and comfortable.
−There was no room thermostat, so you couldn't adjust the temperature of the room or control the heating, and the room got cold at night.

“Clean, comfortable stay. Had everything we needed.”
+Clean and comfortable stay. Very well equipped. Close to the town centre but nice and quiet. Not a lot of choice on the menu mid week but what we had was good. Would stay again if in the area.

+Having had several disappointing stays in pubs, we were hesitant about booking the Red Lion, especially as it seemed quite expensive, but our chalet/room was spacious, very comfortable and well-equipped. Basics, such as tea, coffee, milk, juice etc were provided. We had dinner in the pub restaurant and the meal was of excellent quality and not expensive.
−We stayed during a heatwave and the property was hot. There was a good quality fan provided, but it wasn't really effective in such extreme temperature. I'm sure that in normal weather, it would be perfectly comfortable.

“Highly Recommended.”
+Great accommodation and the staff were brilliant. The evening meal was very good and the only reason we didn't rate it 10/10 was due to not being able to get breakfast there. We would definitely use it again, highly recommended.
