“Perfectly pleasant but not special.”
+Never had the chance to eat breakfast as it doesn't start till 9am!
−Food has become a bit boring and it definitely on the pricey side for what it is.

“Excellent location for exploring area”
+Friendly young staff, who responded to our requests efficiently. Room small but generally well presented
−Unfortunately one bath towel was heavily stained ( changed immediately on request) lighting stark and would have benefitted from perhaps complementary biscuits, which is the norm at even more “budget” accommodation. Not all breakfast options were available on the morning of our stay though what was on offer was still varied and high quality.

“Character and tasteful room at wonderful pub. But pricey for what it is.”
+Bloomsbury was a beautiful room with great bed, large and tasteful. No stand alone shower. Above pub terrace so no bed time before pub empties.
−Breakfast a slow start at 9am. Why not 8am? Otherwise breakfast was good.

“Overall a nice hotel but not worth £150 for our tiny room, not much space to move in the black cap room unfortunately”
+The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. We liked the character of the old pub too
−Our bed was uncomfortable and the property could have done with a good clean. The barman wasn’t very friendly, not what you expect in hospitality.

“Wonderful staff, lovely location, delicious food, but an impractical room.”
+Lovely country pub with exceptional staff and good food.
−Our room was not fit for purpose. It was totally impractical and there one area where you can stand up straight. This might be acceptable if the cost wasn’t the same price as a London hotel. The staff are letdown by the shabby fixtures and fittings. The pub was very busy but the staff were cordial and extremely helpful. I think they could do with a little more support from the manager.
