“Historic Experience: Classic lodging with many modern comforts”
+We stayed in a classic, roomy, wood-paneled stateroom with two comfortable single beds and two permanently closed portholes. There was a table with two chairs and plenty of mirrors. And the refrigerator was a plus. Although the room had a comfortable temperature, we asked for and promptly got a portable fan. We liked the historic art-deco atmosphere of the cabin, the lobby. and the long center hallway. As guests at the hotel, we were able to tour the entire ship free of charge. We had to leave the ship, walk along an outside passage, and reenter the ship to see the engine room and the Churchill War Rooms.
−The bathtub had an awkward sloping floor, possibly due to some requirement when the ship was on the high seas. Guests have to walk quite some distance from the parking lot to the entrance to the ship/hotel itself. We did not see where the shuttle was supposed to ferry guests from the lot to the hotel entrance.

“Amazing to be surrounded by history!”
+To be surrounded by so much history is amazing! The ship is beautiful and all of the exhibits and historic photos and information scattered around are excellent. As an overnight guest you are able to wander the entire ship at your leisure. Could have stayed another full day and probably still not have seen everything! Dinner at the seafood restaurant was excellent as was breakfast at the more casual restaurant. The room was comfortable although no large as it is 90 years old!
−As mentioned the ship is 90 years old so it shouldn’t be expected to have a lot of the conveniences we’ve become accustomed to. Not many plugs in the room, limited space (we had a standard room, there are probably others that are bigger), no control of the A/C which they tell you up front, low water pressure in the shower. Again, all of that is to be expected in an old house or an old ship. But being in history is worth a few inconveniences!

“Worth the stay”
+The cabin, although a long walk to get to anything, was very clean and tidy. The ship itself is a true wonder. Being able to freely walk around and explore was great. We learned a lot about the ship. The smoking area was outside but covered and pretty comfortable.
−The food was good but very overpriced. We ate the breakfast buffet $$$$ and the food was very well cooked but offered what you would expect at any hotel free buffet, scrambled eggs, bread (no biscuits or rolls), sausage, fresh fruit, cereal. Dinner was even higher priced with the basic hamburger and fries coming in at $28. The only cheap item I tried was the chicken fingers appetizer, three pieces of very good chicken and the most unusual fried I have ever tried. They were great. It was both filling and worth the $11 cost. Outside was a carnival filling up their main parking lot. Lots of noise, late night people wandering around, luckily our cabin was so far away the sound didn't reach us. The final issue was with mixed information from the front desk. No they did not offer a free shuttle to the ship port was what I was told by the young lady working the front desk. I later found out that there was indeed a free shuttle offered by the hotel from a security guard named Raymond. He was super helpful and explained in great detail how the shuttle works. Most helpful to Raymond, he went above and beyond for us.

+Very close to the cruise port - just walk across the parking lot to embark!
−There was a Halloween festival going on which made accessibility a little more challenging, but the property did offer us a golf cart ride to the port.

“Interesting, Interesting, interesting fun stay”
+The service in both restaurants was impeccable, the food was delicious, the room was very clean, and it was a pleasure to experience the old-style cruising. We specifically chose a room that had been restored, and overall, they are some of the kindest staff we encountered on our vacation. The history was amazing on the self walking and guided tours
−Overall, it is a historic ship.It does have some creeks , some quirks and some other aging issues , but that is part of the experience , and I wouldn't be negative about them

+The staff always treats us so right. Christina Miranda is an asset to the Queen. The personalized service she provides to repeat guests makes us feel very special and appreciated. We have a 4 year history of anniversaries with QM. Here is to many more! Thank you Tina and crew!

−Not specificly anything I didnt like but I do think not have a general store close does make it hard sometimes
