“Simple clean accomodation - would expect cheaper price point”
+Nice to have earlier check-in at no extra cost.
−No spare duvets or blankets. A long way from the village food and drinks places.

“Very poor and unfriendly service”
+It was clean
−We are quite fit 70year olds, the room was up stairs and via a fire escape which was metal. Not very practical when taking suitcases up and down. The room was a twin room ( not a double which we expected) the beds were in an L shape room and away from each other, in fact when in bed you couldn't see one another. The facilities were poor only a old kettle, no fresh water. Food was not allowed in the room. On arriving at the hotel, we were met by a lady in the main house, who came to the door, we had to stand outside while she gave us instructions where to go. We had a card pushed under the door to tell us to leave the key in the room with door unlocked when we depart. The price did not warrant the service or facilities

“Would stay again if it was priced lower”
+Location
−Outside metal stairs to access the room, very hard to get the wi-fi connected, general cheapness of furniture ect, could hear someone snoring in adjoining room, I think it’s a £55 per night room, the location could take it up to £70 per night Only contact with anyone who worked there on arrival a woman hardly opened the main door to hand me the keys and give instructions how to get to the room

+Nothing
−Small room, no facilities, cobwebs and dirty behind blinds (look like they hadn't been opened in a long while),no option for breakfast and not really a hotel as just a room out the back of a house!

“Very convenient to the area I was visiting and comfortable with the wonderful bed.”
+The bed was extremely comfortable which is very important for a good night's sleep. I was very happy indeed to discover I had an actual cup and saucer, as opposed to the standard 'mug', these little touches make all the difference. The room was very clean too.
−The only 2 things that crossed my mind was that during these extreme temperatures a room fan, or the option to hire one might have made it more comfortable. Luckily I did bring a little fan with me but without that I would have really been struggling with the heat. Also there was no hairdryer but perhaps it did say when I booked that I could hire a hairdryer and/or a fan but if so I did not realise.
