“Lovely & cosy - had a wonderful time”
+The room was cosy and really well decorated. We stayed at room 11 but from the whole house we could see it was decorated with very good taste and always smelled wonderfully. Super clean, as well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever laid in. The bathroom had heated floor and the heating in the room also kept us warm. Great location, next to the train station and only a few min away from the restaurants and shops. Staff was super helpful and sent us a text when our room was ready before 15:00. Even though there’s no place to have meals, the mini fridge made it possible to have some breakfast in the room. It was a lovely stay - would definitely recommended and come back someday.
−The only thing we noticed was that the room cleaning was not done every day of the stay. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days and only on the third day the bins were emptied - and we run out of shower gel on the last day, as it wasn’t refilled. That being said it did not have a big impact in our stay. It’s the only reason for not giving a total 10/10 rate. All in all, a lovely stay

“Uncomfortable stay”
+The property is well located and beautifully decorated
−We were using the hotel to break up the drive from London to the Highlands and so a good night sleep was important. However, the room was very hot so we needed the window open but the noise from the road woke us often. Would not stay again.

“A perfectly cosy home away from home!”
+This hotel is so cosy and it feels like a home away from home. The location is fantastic, and it’s an added bonus that there is parking (we were lucky enough to get a space). I loved the printed newspaper guide and we did one of the walks in there which was perfect!
−I can’t really fault the property but I do think they could benefit from having some shelving / storage in the bathroom. We were staying as two women and we really didn’t have anywhere to put our toiletries, makeup, etc which made the room itself feel a bit cramped.

“Perfect location for a stay in the lakes!”
+Perfect self contained hotel room right in the centre of Windermere. Walking distance to shops, restaurants & cafes. We also walked down to the next town which had even more shops, bars, pubs & restaurants. Also great views of the lake!!

“Cosy stay with luxury at a very affordable price”
+I loved everything. I even had a treat a couple of days before my stay when they messaged me to say I had a free upgrade. I’m currently living with cancer and was on a much needed break so this really made my trip. The rooms and the bath especially are to die for. Close to town and the train:bus station
