“Very friendly staff but the mosquitoes were a big problem when sitting outside @ the restaurant”
+It’s by the main road and there is public transport and walking distance to Nearby shops
−It’s by the chobe river bank

“Okay for a night”
+Location, close to town. Enjoyed some of the furniture items. Liked also the paintings.
−The stay was okay for one night, but a few details could easily be improved. The shower curtain is the type that sticks to you while showering - something many guests really dislike. The toilet seat kept sliding from side to side. The room is also very noisy and you can clearly hear what neighbours are doing. The outside light right next to the room could not be switched off and stayed on all night. In addition, the door was quite difficult to lock properly. Another thing to note is that reception is only staffed until 5 pm, which may be inconvenient for guests arriving later or needing assistance in the evening. With a few small improvements the place could be much more comfortable.

“The room is old and dated but comfortable and the jury is out on whether it was value for money.”
+From the check-in process to the room was all good. The dinner was tasty and good.
−Never ask for a breakfast pack when leaving. 3 boiled eggs, an apple, an orange and a pear. The previous evening guests were stopped from entering for purposes of the restaurant. They were told the restaurant is full and can not accommodate more people. Staying there, I entered with a totally empty restaurant. I asked the question as to why people were shown away - the response was that the kitchen and he (the waiter) needed a break as they just had 14 guests the night before. It was green season so owners were travelling however I am sure that would not condone any of the above.

“A short, yet very enjoyable visit.”
+Location was excellent, close to the river - and the overall vibe was great. It feels like you're really in the jungle, with lots of interesting birds and even warthogs coming to visit. The bar and pool area were very enjoyable. The river cruise was also fantastic. I love that it left right from the hotel's dock.
−The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The ramp up to the bar area becomes extremely slippery when wet and I saw one guest fall while using it. It definitely needs to have thin planks of wood added to it to provide grip. The food was okay - the meat a bit chewy and the ingredients did not taste super fresh. The breakfast, however, was great. Be prepared to use mosquito spray!

“Adequate for a one night stay”
+It was convenient place to stay en route to Ngoma border crossing, with the Chobe River at the bottom of the garden. The bed, even though it was a small double was comfortable for one night and there was air conditioning in the room.
−We found the guest house difficult to find, as there were branches from a tree covering the small sign. When we mentioned this to the receptionist, she really was not bothered. In fact her whole demeanour was unwelcoming and unhelpful. Our room was difficult to find initially as there were no outside lights working and we were not shown to our room, like in other properties. The room was a lot smaller than expected and felt like it needed updating, as did the bathroom too. The gardens around the rooms need some love and care too.
