+The rooms are exceptional. WiFi was great too. Views were spectacular in every direction. You're near La Coupee and Little Sark too. I came to enjoy the night view and was not disappointed. It was breathtaking. Sark is a Dark Sky Island and you can see so many more stars at night compared to anywhere in the UK.
−I cannot fault the property or staff in any way. One note I'd make about the location is that because it gets REALLY dark, you are quite a long way away from the main pubs and eateries and you should plan your time around this. You will be shocked by just how dark it gets, so it's not a place you want to be too far away from when the sun goes down.

“Comfortable and spacious accommodation in a very quiet location”
+Huge room, with two double beds and lots of space so could accommodate more than the two of us. Nice breakfast options. Very relaxed. Beautiful views. Very quiet. Wonderful young man who was working in the coffee shop showed us to the facility. He’s a real asset.
−Better signage would be helpful. We only realised we were at the Old Forge once we were walking into the chocolate shop! And whoever transfers the names from Booking.com onto the Old Forge booking in whiteboard might want to avoid causing heart attacks to fully paid up customers whose names ‘aren’t on the board’ and risk having nowhere to stay by transferring the names correctly!!!

+Location is lovely perfect for exploring the island. Take a torch or eat earlier. Be prepared for all sorts of weather!
−We had room 1 downstairs and found the mattress incredibly uncomfortable to the point that one of us slept in the lounge on the sofa. The property itself is lovely. Sark is a beautiful island and this property gives a great base for exploring. It's the 2nd time we've stayed but we would definitely request a different room next time. On the downside, the weather closed in and was very foggy and damp on the day of departure. Unfortunately we couldn't stay past checking out time and found ourselves wandering the island and trying to stay dry. A lot of places are closed and you're unable to sit anywhere and read a book with a coffee whilst waiting for the weather to change. Despite the negatives, will be back, we love Sark!

“Dépaysement et calme”
+The Old Forge est parfaitement situé juste à côté de la Coupée et de ses paysages spectaculaires. Quand le temps est dégagé, on voit la mer depuis la chambre. La cuisine est très bien équipée pour se préparer un bon petit déjeuner en autonomie. Tout est propre et calme. Nous avons vraiment apprécié les 2 nuits passées dans cet établissement.
