“very enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere”
+Staff were very helpful. Cooked breakfast excellent.
−Building is obviously very old, which is the whole point of the town so allowances have to be made. Decor was a bit tired, even taking age of building into account but the property was actually in the process of being refurbished during our stay. Door locks a bit eccentric - it took 3 of us to work out one of them.

“A home from home in Rye (for me)”
+I would like to say that I have seldom been so happy. With my choice of accommodation! The OBA is a beautifully positioned old pub now being operated as a Bed & Breakfast with an adjoining Cafe. The owners and staff were lovely and efficient as well. They could not have been more welcoming. My room was comfortable, a good size and well fitted out. The en suite was a bit dated perhaps but more than adequate and the shower cubicle a good size. On top of all those positives the location, in Rye, was brilliant in that it sits at the foot of the hill near to a small car parking area that was easy to access and cost less than £10 for each 24 hours. I have already booked for next year!!
−The water pressure in the shower was only modest not a torrent - but as issues go this didn't detract from my liking for the property as a great place for me to stay.

“Recommend.”
+Staff helpful and friendly, bed was comfortable, we had breafast which was very tasty. The location is very good. And the "Twist" tea (24/7) provided is amazing,
−The room was fine, although there were the odd cobweb or two and some un-dusted areas, also the shower door was faulty, not a big deal as the shower was still usable.
