“A special place”
+I came here as a solo English traveler in my late 40s, not something I have done in some time. I hadn’t dived for well over 10 years prior to coming. I chose it because of the calm atmosphere (no entertainment, karaoke or themed parties) and the diving company’s strong reputation. I was a little hesitant because I was not sure if I would connect with people (no big deal, plenty of books to read) and because the main language spoken is German, which I don’t really understand. It has been… amazing. Every single member of staff is so kind and positive, helpful, professional. And I really mean everyone - the reception staff, security, housekeeping, dive shop people, restaurant, even the hotel boss - they are so lovely. Yes, German is the main language spoken but they are happy to do little bursts of English, and when you’re underwater, language becomes unimportant. I was welcomed to meals with a bigger group, aged in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. The food is good. Always a range of options, always cooked very well and served with kindness. You only pay extra for lunch and drinks, which are very reasonable. In case you are wondering about water, you can pay a small fixed price per day

“Beautiful setting to switch off, enjoy the stillness and snorkel on up and down the house reef.”
+The breakfast and dinner is buffet - style with a German touch - the owners are German. There is also a bedouin tent where one can have a tea. The snorkeling on the house reef is insane. They also offer scuba diving excursions - just check which ones are on offer while you there, so you can plan them ahead of time.

“Amazing Place to Stay ! Pure Serenity!”
+I had the best time here relaxing under the stars, with the sound of the Ocean in the backdrop ! The atmosphere is super chilled here with excellent food and Service from the locals working here The architecture is stunning and created in original Nubian Style .Very friendly Vibe and easy access to the House Reef ! Exactly what I needed ,away from the noise ! Excellent Management!! Thank you ,I will be back ☺️

“An oasis of peace and beauty”
+The Oasis is exactly as its name: an oasis, of peace, tranquility and serenity. As a solo traveller this was a perfect place to start my Egypt travels from, while it's easy to meet other people in the restaurant (which has a beautiful view over the sea), the bedouin tent on the beach, or at the diving centre, it is equally easy to spend some alone time which everyone respects. The staff (all male which is a bit of a getting used to for female travellers) are all very kind and helpful. Compared to the many big resorts around the region, the Oasis stands out for its low volume, authenticity and sustainable approach. A simple but great example are the water filters which you can use to fill your water bottle (instead of having to buy plastic bottles) or the absence of little plastic amenity bottles in the bathrooms. As a vegetarian there was also plenty of choice from the buffet in the restaurant. The pool, the yoga room, the beach, the bedouin tent, and the jetty on top of a fantastic reef right in front of the property elevate the Oasis to exceptional in my view. Also a special mention for the chef and the managers who put up a wonderful Newyears dinner, decoration and dancing!
−I was totally OK with no wifi in the rooms (perfect for some digital detoxing) however if you need it, good wifi was available in the reception area.

+Well run, familiar atmosphere, ideal for singles.A healthy antidote ti the hotel factories in the surroundings. Beautiful fake village. Good food. Location, location, location directly at the riff.

+Ресторан работает очень хорошо. Персонал очень вежлив, дружелюбен. Обслуживание быстрое. Завтраки и ужин разнообразны, большой выбор фруктов, овощей, салатов. десертов. Всегда есть рыба, мясо. Персонал отеля делает всё чтобы было комфортно. Два удобных схода в море (сразу начинается большая глубина). Живой коралловый риф, много рыб. Тишина! Никаких толп народа, дискотек и прочих развлечений. Отличное место чтобы отдохнуть от суеты.
