“Lovely room and hosts, ideal stopover location.”
+room was clean and bed was comfy, the restaurant down stairs was convenient for the evening meal and the included breakfast.
−There wasn't enough tea/coffee/milk in room had to ask for more, waited awhile, then had to go down to the bar to get more myself. T.V would only play some of the channels, no catch up. Shower could do with a door, bathroom floor got very wet. Lots of traffic noise and ambient noise from down stairs, double glazing needed maybe?

+Very peaceful hotel and pub was first class in all aspects the food was amazing especially the breakfast and the accomodation was 10 out of 10 will definately recomend and i will definately be returning again in the future x

“A gem of a find - would highly recommend”
+The food was great value for money and fantastic quality, staff were friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. We had both breakfast and an evening meal and would highly recommend both.
−Only a very minor point. We had two room. One was immaculate and appeared to be recently renovated. The other was slightly more dated and not as clean. This however wasn’t a big issue and didn’t detract from this being an excellent find and great value for money.

+Nice hotel and chap behind the bar was friendly, efficient and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable
−It wasn’t advertised that the hotel doesn’t serve food on a Monday with is a bit inconvenient when you have traveled 2 hours for work and the only other pub the three jolly sailors only serves food until 7:30. Luckily I didn’t book breakfast because I have stayed before and the don’t serve until 8:30 onwards which doesn’t suit when I need to be away by 8am latest.

+We have stayed at the Oakwheel a few times over the years. Our room was spacious and clean the bed was comfy. We had tea coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was spacious and clean with a shower over the bath. We had breakfast and evening meal the food and drink was very nice 👌. The hosts were nice and friendly during our stay.

“Excellent”
+Location, the room (1) is my favorite room The shower is excellent and bed is super comfy ! Home from home for me now as I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m working in Scarborough Staff and owners are always really lovely The food is just delicious too.

+Spotlessly clean, in a nice quiet area. Room was very comfortable.
−Not a dislike exactly, more a suggestion. A bell or something similar on the bar so you can get attention of a member of staff when checking in or out to save having to track someone down.

+Great room. Fantastic comfy bed. Quality shower and the food from breakfast to dinner is nothing short of outstanding. All the staff ewere very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
