8.0“Overall, a good-value stay in a convenient location with friendly staff and useful facilities, but the cleanliness, bedd”
+The location was ideal for the reason I came to Bury. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel has some good facilities, including a gym and a function room. The outside of the hotel looks lovely, and there is also a bar that stays open until 1 am. Wetherspoons is just a 4-minute walk downhill, which is very convenient. The price was reasonable for a 5-day stay, especially as I had my own private bathroom. I travelled by car, so I brought my own kettle and portable heater, which made my stay much more comfortable. There is also a lift, which is helpful for guests with mobility difficulties.
−As many other guests have mentioned, the hotel is situated up a hill, so you need to be comfortable driving uphill and parking in tight spaces. The car park is very small, with space for around 7-8 cars, and the parking spaces are at an angle, which can make parking a little challenging. There is no kettle in the room, so I would recommend bringing your own. You may also want to bring a small portable heater, especially if you prefer a warmer room. Unfortunately, the linen and bedding look quite old, and the bedding did not appear as clean as I would have liked. This made me feel a little uncomfortable and even concerned about the possibility of bed bugs, although I cannot say whether there were any.

1.0“Room not prepared. Super disappointed”
+Stayed here a couple of times as a cheap and cheerful option for travelling with work. I checked in after work. Realised the tv remote was missing so couldn't use the tv. Reception girl brought a few different ones up but they did nt work. No shower gel so had to wash with hand-wash as was already wet and not getting out to go to reception. No toilet roll that i realised after it was too late so had to get half dressed and go to reception. Rung bell a few times but noone there so had to find communal bathroom and take toilet roll from there. Very cheap so wasnt expecting luxury, but the failed to get to the basics right so I was very disappointed and wont go back now.

+Nothing! The photo I saw on the website advertising the room was nothing like the reality. Kettles have been removed from the rooms so unable to make a drink.
−Carpet was ripped, bed too soft and furniture very basic

7.0+The staff were all very friendly and happy to help the room was a good size and clean with wonderful views over to the sea
−What we didn’t like was the 40 + steps from reception up to the room with a mixture of concrete steps and metal steps a bit slippery in the wet, the other thing was the extremely noisy neighbours downstairs who were shouting and arguing nearly all night even after we went down to reception to report them and the person on the desk came up 2 or 3 times to tell them to keep the noise down.
