“A warm welcome and good nights rest!”
+A fantastic place to stop over for the night on our drive back to London from the Scottish Highlands. Comfortable and clean with a fantastic homemade breakfast. Alison is an incredible host with a good heart and welcoming conversation.

“A great inn on the edge of the National Park. Good food and great beer”
+Nice old inn close to the fells but only a short drive off the A66. Well maintained and a nice character. Ideal for an overnight stop.

“A welcoming pub in a lovely setting, serving high quality food.”
+Breakfast was excellent, the cooked food was well-presented. We appreciated being able to have fresh milk in our room. Although there was no bath in our room, I was offered the opportunity to use the staff bathroom which was very thoughtful. Food in the evening was very good as was the beer.
−We did not realise that no food was served on a Sunday evening after 5P.M. This was an oversight by staff who were having to cope without the key man in charge. It is worth pointing out to visitors that tea pots are available at breakfast time. We used tea bags in mugs until we noticed that a drawer contained tea pots!

“Comfortable stay with beautiful surroundings and great breakfast”
+A beautiful location with lots of walks/cycles from the front door A brilliant breakfast with a relaxed vibe and plenty of options - you won't go hungry! Shower was powerful
−The bathroom feels very close to the bed, but this was very minor and very much a preference thing rather than a genuine issue.
