“An average hotel. Needs a complete upgrade of rooms. Food needs looking at as well. Staff fairly friendly”
+Room and bathroom spacious
−Cleanliness not great. Needed decorating desperately. Breakfast poor

“Very pleasant stay near to our daughter's wedding venue. Would stay there again. Highly recommend.”
+The food was exceptional at both dinner and breakfast. Good service friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Ease of parking at the hotel.
−The lighting in the bedroom was a little poor as there were no overhead lights only lamps. But we managed. The room we stayed in was in the attic and so there were low ceilings which was fine for me but my husband had to be very careful and still managed to hit his head a couple of times! We still liked the room with a lovely comfy bed and the bathroom was well fitted out with a walk in shower.

+Excellent rooms and breakfast
−Nothing really. A minor point but there was no permanent member of staff on reception and separate receptions for breakfast and dinner but not consistently used. We were not the only ones wandering around looking for staff at times.

“Overall, a great hotel with lovely staff.”
+Nice to have a free glass of wine with my booking. The room was everything I expected as I've stayed there before. The location was perfect as I ws attending an event in the town hall.
−I went to the bar for lunch and told them I was in the snug but waiting ages. I had to go to the bar again to remind them I was there. My burger was OK but not hot.

“Good place to stay in the centre of town, 5 min walk to Corsham Ct and shops and cafes”
+Good location with parking at the back (can get busy) Staff were excellent. Bedroom nicely furnished. Both food and service were good. Lovely breakfast.
−For the price I paid (over £500 for two nights, the room was very small. Although the heating was on full (radiator) it did not give out much heat and I was a little chilli.

“Lovely stay- will be back”
+We stayed in the Signature Room and were very impressed. The room was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the quality toiletries were a nice touch. The coffee pods and tea selection were also much better than average. Despite being on the first floor, the room was wonderfully quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. Parking was easier than expected, with a larger car park than anticipated and we had no trouble securing a space. There is also an additional village car park behind the property which appeared perfectly safe, reflecting the peaceful nature of the village. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options. Choices included fresh juices, gut health drinks, gluten-free muesli, and a range of cooked items. We particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs and the full English breakfast, both of which were very well prepared. Overall, a fantastic stay with great facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and an excellent breakfast. We would happily return.
−All good.
