“Brilliant, welcoming, with a bonus dog.”
+Really clear directions before arriving where to go and excellent communication. Nicola was so welcoming and kind. Having Bella the dog greet us in mornings was a bonus. The shower was warm and the beds were comfy. Loved the nearby pub as well.
−If anything, the parking was a bit tight but that's if I was being really picky.

“Like home”
+A wonderful stay with truly exceptional hosts! We had a fantastic experience at The Long House. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, making us feel welcome and at home. What really made our stay unforgettable, however, was the extraordinary kindness and hospitality of the owners. On our last day, we had an unexpected problem with our rental car that put us at risk of missing our flight. Nicola went above and beyond to help us, spending a considerable amount of time on the phone with the rental company and doing everything she could to find a solution. Her genuine concern and willingness to help, even after our stay had ended, meant so much to us. It's rare to meet people who care so sincerely about their guests. We couldn't recommend The Long House more highly. A beautiful place run by truly wonderful people. We would love to return! Thank you, Nicola, for everything! Alessandro & Amanda

“Great stay. Would love to come back in cooler weather……not often an issue in England!”
+We did not stay for the breakfast. There was a great pub with good food within walking distance. Lovely garden to sit out in, unfortunately it was too hot!
−Shower curtains needed replacing. Overall a good stay but we were there during the heatwave so the rooms were very hot, which we totally understand is out of there control.

“A very enjoyable stay in a delightful setting”
+Lovely welcome from the landlady when we arrived. Breakfast was offered (at £15pp extra) and was plentiful and nicely cooked - we chose to have the full English breakfast but a Continental breakfast was also a possibility - nothing seemed like too much trouble. The private bathroom (next to the room) was clean and well-provisioned, and the room had coffee-making facilities, inc. milk and cold, bottled water via a fridge downstairs. The location itself is a few metres away from a decent pub in a quiet village - a car or bike is a must for exploring the area!
