3.0“Booking.com took advantage of my family!”
+My entire stay was ruined due to the situation that happened noted below. Please read below.
−Booking.com severely took advantage of me and my family. I was charged $465 more through Booking.com website than I should have been and I am extremely disappointed. Had I booked it directly through the website I would have been charged $735 vs the $1200 Booking.com charged me. I reached out to The Islander and they would not help me. I would greatly appreciate Booking.com refunding me the difference (or even most of it) to make this right. I thought Booking.com was there to be competitive or even save you money. Instead, they took great advantage of my family and we overpaid $465 for our stay. I would greatly appreciate you contacting me to make this right. If this isn’t made right, I will NEVER use Booking.com again, nor stay at the Islander Inn. Please advise ASAP if this can be corrected.

5.0“Okay for a through stop stay”
+The location was convenient for our through trip to Glacier.
−The beach access to the lake they “sell” is the Bosch launch tied to the bar and restaurant. You have to walk through the bar to get to the beach area and there are no swimming signs posted. There are people sitting there from the bar/restaurant definitely not a place you’re going to swim or enjoy the lake unless your boat is docked there.

1.0“This property was completely misrepresented online.”
+I am incredibly disappointed with my stay. This property was completely misrepresented online. The listing photos must be very old, as they do not reflect the current, run-down reality of the cabin. It is extremely overpriced for the low level of accommodations provided.Several major issues made our stay uncomfortable:False Advertising: The listing promised breakfast, but absolutely none was available.Zero Service: There is no on-site office and no direct access to staff or assistance if you need help.Neglected Exterior: The building's paint is peeling badly. The grass and plants are so overgrown that they completely hang over the sidewalks.Subpar Interior: The mattress was incredibly soft, unsupportive, and uncomfortable sagging in the middle. Worse, the bathroom shower curtain was covered in mildew and clearly had not been properly cleaned.Save your money and look elsewhere. This property requires serious maintenance and deep cleaning before it can justify its premium price tag.
−Outdoor appearance, improved mattress that does not sag in the middle, improved cleanliness in the bathroom, and overall better price point for what is offered. The online advertisement offers amenities that are not actually available such as breakfast. No food or office to interact with management available on the property.

4.0“would consider staying again if the mattress was replaced.”
+The room was large, clean and well designed. It was a short drive from Bigfork.
−The bed was VERY uncomfortable! It was too soft and bowed down in the middle. Like sleeping in a canoe.

7.0“A great location and an enjoyable stay overall, but the property is showing its age and could use so”
+The location was excellent, just across the street from the lake, which made it very convenient for enjoying the area. Check in was also very easy. The door was open when we arrived, and our key was waiting for us on the counter, so there was no hassle or waiting around. The unit had a small fridge, a small microwave, a kitchen sink, and some basic dishes, which was convenient for simple meals. However, there was no stove or real cooking setup, so it wasn’t suitable for preparing full meals. Outside, there was an outdoor sauna that was a nice bonus and very enjoyable to use, as well as a couple of picnic tables that were great for sitting outside and relaxing.
−We stayed in the Bali “bungalow,” and overall it was a nice place, but it is definitely starting to show its age. The floors appeared clean at first glance, although there was quite a bit of dust and dirt under the beds and couch. The blinds were also very dusty, and some of them did not work properly. The bathroom window did not have a screen, which would have been nice to have. The wall mounted AC worked well enough to keep the room comfortable, but it cycled on and off all night and was extremely loud when it kicked on. We also weren’t sure the buttons on the unit actually did anything, as it seemed to operate the same way regardless of what settings we tried. Parking also became problematic one of the nights we stayed. There simply were not enough spaces available for all of the guests. The TVs are set up for streaming over the property’s WiFi, but the WiFi seemed to be heavily overtaxed. Streaming quality was very poor, with buffering and low picture quality making the TVs difficult to enjoy. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, but a little more attention to cleaning, maintenance, parking, and the WiFi infrastructure would go a long way toward keeping the property looking and functi
