“A very relaxing and enjoyable stay”
+The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and efficient. There was normally a space by the log burner. Very dog friendly.

“Nice, but too many dogs, and evening meal sub-par.”
+Nice location
−Some staff seemed on edge, way too many dogs yapping and barking and under everyone's feet, and the evening meal was disappointing compared to previous stays.

+Just about all of it - the people working at the hotel were great, as was the location, room, cleanliness.
−Breakfast was average? The guy running it was brilliant but the food was nothing special. The streaky bacon was not great and the rest of it was ok - but baked beans were fine!

+Really happy with our super king room as well as the evening meal and breakfast. All great quality and value for money. Loved the home made cookies waiting for us in our room. Lovely pub, though we were too full after dinner to take full advantage!
−Liked everything.

“Gin trap inn”
+Good location for exploring the area. Easy to find. Lovely ambience and friendly staff. Good food. The room we stayed in was large.
−If you are not a dog person the majority of guests had dogs. If you're not a doggy person don't let that put you off, as most were well behaved.

“It was pleasant, but not sure we would revisit.”
+Perfect location. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfort and clean. Coffee station facilities were good. Parking was great. Dinner was very good.
−If we were to stay again we would book direct and not through booking. com so we could upgrade if we needed to. Also appreciate it’s rather late in season but staff all seemed rather tired and found it hard to smile.
