“A wonderful place to stay.”
+A hidden gem. Perfect stay for me, hubs and our pooch. The pub friendly, beds comfortable and hotel quiet and wonderfully dark at night. Great access from the carpark and a breakfast that was simply enormous! We had a meal last night, fabulous value mixed grill and a pint less than £19. Friendly owners who put the football on so hubs could watch his team (lose!). Stumbled on this stay through scrolling through booking.com options and will definately return.
−Nothing not to like. Its on quite a busy road but we couldnt hear it from our room at night. In the morning i did a quick dog walk down a side street next to the pub and around a tiny church graveyard. The countryside around the pub is beautiful. A lovely location that you could drive past but really worth stopping for.

“Great value and good location for visiting the Forest of Dean.”
+Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Even though food is not usually available on a Sunday evening they provided us with a delicious pie with vegetables. Breakfast was also very good.

“Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable and good value.”
+Comfortable warm room. Breakfast was tasty and more than sufficient. Staff were friendly and the bar offered a really good pub menu at a reasonable price. Plenty of off road parking.
−Nothing to complain about.

“Very good - thanks to the owners.”
+The room was well furnished and the bed comfortable. Coffee, tea and drinking choc in room with biscuits - something many places no longer do. Full English Breakfast included in prce and this was serve yourself so you easily choose selection and quantity - something else many places no longer doing.
−Car park could be improved. We nearly missed the car park entrance on approach so some better signage visible from a distance might help.
