5.0“An interesting building in a cool location. With great place for breakfast just a few doors down the street (lapis)”
+The location was great but be prepared for loudness in to the early hours. We had wondered why they left ear plugs. The building was quaint, as was the room. It was definitely a conversation starter. The room was a good size as was the bathroom . And there was a nice coffee making machine, though the coffee cups were too small for the amount of coffee that came out , so watch that. Plenty of soap, toilet paper etc.
−The bed was abysmal, it was barely held together and we thought it would break every time we just sat on it. I’m a dog groomer and my dog towels were in better condition than the towels given to us here. They would be good if you wanted to exfoliate. It really wouldn’t have taken slot to make things a bit more comfortable. I appreciate the outside noise is difficult to control in the middle of a city. But certainly a stable bed, comfy mattress, decent pillows, fresh, soft towels and nice bedding shouldn’t be a big ask.

8.0+Location, flexible check in and helpful staff. Characterful!
−No clothes hanging space (description states "wardrobe/closet"; there's only a chest of drawers) Only one large mug and no spoons. One bedside light bulb had failed. Bathroom window didn't open.

5.0“Immaginate.”
+I could understand what the owner was trying to achieve, a room in a certain style (18th century) but I would have liked the wardrobe to be empty and draws also. The doors on the wardrobe were falling off and I didn't use it. I think a little bit of time spent on the room would be a great advantage. Three days of my holiday were spent in hospital which was unfortunate. I loved Princes Street and the area around the Exchange Building was so good. I would come again. A room on the ground floor would be great for some one who is 72, those stairs!

8.0“Harry Potter meets Heath Robinson: probably the most extraordinary venue ive ever stayed in.”
+Staff. what staff? Breakfast. What breakfast? It was informal, it was a bit mad . im fine with that. The ear plugs were appreciated - and used every night.
−A window that stayed open would have been nice. No milk or cutlery supplied , so even a self catering breakfast was a challenge. Putting my own milk on an outside window sill reminded me of student days..... im 72.Only one ( bent ) coat hanger to hang clothes was bit lees than id hoped for.

8.0+Great location, lots of cafes right at the base of the entrance, close to city center and lots of shops around. Room was very cozy. Wifi available, have to ask host for password (didn't see it posted in the room.)
−A mini fridge would have been helpful for our leftovers and keeping cold drinks in the room. The other thing to note is the entrance is about a block or so from the road - you will have to walk once the taxi drops you off. It didn't come up easily on the map (so note that it is directly across from the Irish Cancer Society shop.) I was traveling with two suitcases so this was quite a challenge to roll it down the uneven street and there isn't an elevator, so just keep that in mind (room was up 2-3 flights of stairs), wouldn't recommend if you have mobility issues.
