“Terrible noise, terrible attitude from staff; not willing to compromise.”
+Nothing
−We'd requested a quiet room. I'd paid extra for a boutique room, thinking this request would be accommodated. Unfortunately it WASN'T a quiet room. There were 2 massive TV screens blaring away (a football match) in the pub downstairs and we could hear these, and the noise from the customers, in our room. The response I got from the Manageress when I complained about the noise was 'well, it's a PUB' as though being a pub was more important than being a hotel section. The noise was so loud in the pub section we struggled to hear what each other was saying. I was flatly refused a refund because 'I hadn't given 24 hours' notice of cancellation' (???) and she also flatly refused to allocate another room. She did say she would turn down the TV (the only 'compromise' she was willing to make) (thus acknowledging that my complaint was justified) We left after an hour, unwilling to spend a minute longer in that place. £170 for a really awful experience.

“Great atmosphere, decor, food, super clean and friendly, perfect!”
+We loved everything about it and the staff were fantastic! Great happy team atmosphere, rare to see! From the front of house in the evenings to the lovely chef at breakfast!
−I suppose the parking is a bit tight, only 4 spaces but you can park on the side of the road! We had no issues with this!
