“Lovely friendly guest house”
+Lovely, clean and comfy guest house in a great location right on the seafront, an easy walk into town. Delicious breakfast cooked to order each day. Room was spacious and the bed very comfy. The hosts, Amanda and Tony are very friendly and welcoming, and they have lots of local knowledge about places to visit. I would highly recommend this guest house. Thanks for another great stay!

+Hosts gave us a sea view room.Although up another level it was well worth it for the size of the room and the view. Breakfast was excellent.Well cooked full English having started off with cereals and fruit juice. Nothing was too much trouble. A thoroughly enjoyable 3 day stay. We would highly recommend.
−The only small thing we found was that there were no shelves in the bathroom or shower.

+A lovely stay overlooking the sea. 2 mins walk to the beach an to a variety of shops. A lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. The owners were very accommodating and let me store my bike in the garden. Great value for money.

“Not at all what we expected from somewhere rated 9.5.”
+We had a front room on the first floor with a nice view out over the sea. It was nicely decorated and had a new carpet.
−Room was double glazed with some of them blown (steamed up inside the double glazing), and all badly covered with seabird poo. The en-suite was little more than a box, with just room to stand up. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the shower until we asked for it. No water in the room for the hottest summer on record. Immediately inside the front door was a notice asking us to take our shoes off, but it was not wet and we had not been on the beach. When we went to breakfast there was no menu. Asked what we wanted, we asked what they were offering, and were told "Nothing". A joke. My wife and I both wanted coffee and were brought a cafetiere for one. There was no trouble getting a refill, but it seemed a strange way to do it. Breakfast the first day was passable, but we were brought toast with butter but no preserves. Having asked for marmalade, we were brought a small dish with one teaspoonful of marmalade in it. On our second morning breakfast was better cooked, and we now knew that you could have more or less anything, but you needed to ask for it. We eventually got shampoo for the bathroom, but the look suggested this was something they did not expect to do.

+Amanda and Tony were lovely hosts, going out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. The Coventry Guesthouse itself, is comfortable, clean, peaceable, and affords beautiful views over the Lowestoft shore.
