“Good location, price and room size but no CH and WiFi very off putting!”
+Good location for a stopover. Good pub atmosphere. Bedroom was spacious and had a huge comfortable bed, tho rather hard pillows. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
−Our room had no heating and despite telling the staff this at 8pm it wasn’t rectified, so early to bed just to keep warm. We couldn’t get the WiFi to work and neither could the staff.

“in summary - excellent, a wonderful place to stay.”
+The Hotel was outstanding, the decor, the food, the staff and the ambiance were all top quality for a small country pub/hotel restaurant.

“Good place to stop near the A1”
+Good location, parking available and accommodation is quiet as rooms are in a building separate to the main pub. Bar food was good quality and reasonably priced.
−Breakfast did not happen. Was told on arrival because we had booked through booking .com there was an extra charge which was ok. Agreed a time but when we arrived the doors were not open. Staff member on breakfast was running late, at least one other set of guests left as well. Room was a little cold and no way of bringing heating on.

−Not much really. A wobbly toilet.. that's about it!

“Uncomfortable”
+Good location , easy parking , excellent hot breakfast on second morning with very good customer service from our host at breakfast . Rooms were clean .
−The bed was beyond awful ! It is old and needs replacing . We were not able to get a good nights sleep and left very tired after two nights . If we had been staying longer we would have looked for an alternative hotel . We were in a deluxe room and didn’t feel it was at all value for money given the poor bed and mattress. No hot breakfast provided on Monday morning which we don’t think was explained in the details , although a cold alternative was provided in the lounge area .
