+I recently stayed at The Cloud Hanthanain Kandy and it was an exceptional experience in every way. The room offered a stunning view of the hills, the cleanliness was impeccable throughout, and the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. The food was another highlight, with delicious, fresh meals and a great variety at every dining option. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy and would love to return soon.

“Clean, comfortable and friendly”
+Beautiful location with magnificent views of the valley and city. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom with a great shower. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The WiFi was inconsistent but that might have been a problem with the provider. Food was good and staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

+We really did have a pleasant time at the cloud and the staff were very helpful
−Unfortunately the location was very difficult to get to, we had a car taking us to the location that couldn’t find it and we eventually had to get out to walk the rest of the way as he couldn’t get up the hill, we then called the guest house to have them get a Tuktuk to take us the rest of the way and they said to just keep walking. This would have been very challenging with our bags, we eventually flagged down a tuktuk ourselves. There isn’t really any outside space bar the balcony to relax. The roof terrace is just a roof with no seats and the garden didn’t seem accessible We also preferred to pay card at the end as per the listing but they said was preferred to pay cash which was confusing.

“There was a warm welcome, good food, and a comfortable bedroom with a nice view from the balcony.”
+This is a very attractive building with large rooms and a great view of the surrounding hills and the southwestern side of Kandy. It’s in a hilly area with a rural feel to it and so local walks are pleasant if you want to take a break from the city.
−Nothing. It’s 30 minutes away from Kandy city centre by car or tuk tuk or motorcycle. The manager was gracious enough to take me into town in his car one day when local transport was affected by the busy Perahera festival.
