−The hotel is located in an old building, and the floors are extremely noisy. Every time someone walks in the room above, we can clearly hear their footsteps in our room. The room was cold, and we had to request a portable heater from the hotel. The facilities and overall standards were very disappointing for a four-star hotel. The mattresses were extremely old and worn out, with springs sticking out. As a result, I suffered from severe back pain during our stay and struggled to sleep at night. The shower drainage was also terrible. Every time I took a shower, the water would not drain properly, leaving me standing in a pool of soapy water. I had to wait for the water to drain, and sometimes I had no choice but to step out of the shower with soap still on my feet. When we asked the hotel staff to help us arrange a rental car, they simply told us that we would have to travel to the other side of the city to collect one. Overall, the hotel fell far below the standards expected of a four-star establishment, particularly in terms of comfort, maintenance, facilities, and customer service.

“We had high expectations and this property exceeded all of them.”
+Location was better than we anticipated. Walkable to most of our desired events and tourist sites.
−Breakfast seemed to be overpriced but that could be we were not accustom to London prices.G

“Location is convenient but the price is a bit high.”
+It was close to the tourist attractions and the train station was beside it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was nice and cozy. We upgraded our room so the free mini bar was a nice treat.
−We upgraded to a better room but had to take two different elevators ( or staircases) to get to the room as on a different part of the hotel. With luggage this was a bit of a trek. I was very disappointed in the view as it looked onto the fire escape and alley. We heard drilling noises early the first morning upstairs, not sure what that was from. I know this is in a prime location but the hotel price was high so would expect a better room experience.

“Ottimo hotel e in posizione strategica”
+Breakfast was very generous, with plenty of choice. The location was excellent, right above Charing Cross station.
−Neither room had a toilet brush. In a hotel of this caliber, we would have expected some complimentary extras, such as slippers, but none were provided. Finding your way to the rooms can be a bit complicated, but since it’s a historic building, the interior layout has had to undergo some changes.
