+Lovely place.Welcoming and comfortable. Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Lovely village location. Large carpark at rear.

“A very comfortable and welcoming inn”
+The inn was in a very peaceful location. The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom had a shower cubicle and a bath. There was dedicated parking behind the building . The breakfast was fairly limited for choice, but well cooked
−The breakfast service on the 2nd morning of my stay was not very efficient. I had to ask for a bowl for the cereal, which was already available on the 1st morning. I also ordered cooked breakfast, which was brought almost straight away, before any bowls were provided. Having ordered coffee at the same time as my cooked breakfast, it had still not been brought by the time I had finished my cereal, although the restaurant was not busy at the time. The previous morning everything had been very efficient, but there were different staff on duty.

+Great Location. Very Busy country village feel to it. Lots of History in the Area. Check out the Church Opposite. Friendly Evening bar staff.
−Breakfast too late 07.30AM No Croissants or pastries. Didn't see yogurts or fruit. I had a bowl of cereal and they made a bacon sandwich to try and accommodate me leaving early. No internal double glazing on bedroom window was quite fresh. Food was good but quite pricey.

+The draft were really pleasant and helpful, we were there for an event at the church opposite and the staff ensured that although they were fully booked for dinner they made arrangements to get us in …. And the food was excellent

“Lovely room, food and drink and great location.”
+Breakfast on the Saturday morning was excellent as was dinner on Friday and Saturday nights Wonderful service.

“Gorgeous stay, just a little noisy outdoors.”
+Lovely location, nice food, good selection of drinks, friendly atmosphere, great breakfast, conformable and clean room.
−Nothing to do with the hotel as such, but it was very busy during the night. The church bell goes off every hour, noisy bin wagon at 2amand a high pitched unidentifiable noise at 3am.

“Character pub. Good choice when visiting NEC”
+A lovely old country pub in the heart of the village. We stayed 2 nights to visit the NEC (20 mins drive ) We received a friendly welcome on arrival. We are there both evenings. The food quality was good and good value. Breakfast, although limited choices, was great
−Being an old building the stairs are very steep so may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. The room was clean but the bath panel was broken and needed attention. The church opposite has bells sounding the time all through the night. (not the pubs fault)
