“Not worth for money, waste of money, efforts and time”
+Home was good, owner offered us tea right after reaching there. It was clean but we had to pay 500 Rs per room right after reaching for cleaning. We booked 2 rooms, owner asked us to pay 1000 Rs just for cleaning right after entering the home. This kind of cleaning fee i am seeing for the first time in my life. I have stayed in home stays before as well in USA, and Europe both never charged any such fee. Pool was also charged, although it was mentioned earlier like that. Later on owner said, we can allow the kid to enter free of cost. Also, washrooms were cleaned but first floor washroom was getting clogged on 1st day itself. We waited for 1 whole day that it may rectify on its own but it clogged completely. When we informed to owner, he rectified it though, but we did not expect such poor condition of the washrooms after paying such huge payment. It was not worth money.
−We booked 2 rooms, and we went as whole family. Owner provided us rooms in different floors and it was very inconvenient for us to leave in separate floors. We didn’t enjoy the stay much since whole family got separated. Also, since 1st floor washroom was clogged, we had to take bath in 2nd floor washroom so it was very inconvenient overall. House was very haunted, no lights in night time after 10pm. A lot of cameras were kept in the common areas, no idea why so much security? It was not at all comfortable to enter the home and even hall with some 6-7 cameras looking at you right after entering the house. Also, there was no proper lighting in the house, it was so dim and felt like a haunted house. There was no restaurant or not even a single grocery shoo atleast in 2km area. No street lights, place felt so isolated from main city. I can not even image staying alone there ever in my life. A lot of street dogs were roaming around, i felt so scared to go outside even with family. We did not get any uber/ ola taxes even for 30-40 minutes. Full time waste. It was a rainy day and we had to wait at-least 15-20 minutes for hot water that too we had to call the owner to get the water

“Overall, a disappointing experience.”
+The house was a fascinating hi tech house. The hosts were very chatty when we arrived and we had a good conversation. We were given a comprehensive list of places to visit but they were unaware of decent local restaurants 10' away, which we found ourselves. Our host organised takeaway food the evening we arrived.
−This did not feel like an authentic homestay. Where we have had genuine homestays in India in the past we have met hosts who go out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide refreshment including breakfasts. At the beach house We had to request a drink of water on arrival and a cup of tea before leaving on an excursion, as it was too early for breakfast which was only available at 10 AM - which is somewhat late in any culture. Our room was advertised as being with a "pool view." We saw no pool nor was it mentioned. We were not encouraged to visit the beach and wonder why this place is billed as a "beach house." The description is thus inaccurate and misleading. On departure - admittedly quite early, we let ourselves out without meeting our hosts again. We felt the list of rules that were posted after our booking was exhaustive and over the top. Maybe this was due to previous unruly or careless guests but it smacks of lack of trust. Finally, the cleaning fee of 500Rs/room is clearly excessive for a short 2 night stay.

“All in all a rather underwhelming stay.”
+Lovely house with really good bedrooms
−The property wasn’t easy to access. The beach was close by but the hosts didn’t show us where to go. The house had quite a few security cameras which seemed a little over the top. Each bedroom had locks and a complex lighting and fan display which were both difficult to work out. On arrival we sat with the hosts for sometime with no offer of a drink, in the end we had to ask for a tea. Accepting we were only there for 2 nights, we didn’t see the hosts again after our meeting on arrival. We left around 530am but no one got up to see us off.

“Warmly held by them”
+I had such a wonderful stay at Rohit and Vanita’s beach house. They are truly kind and thoughtful hosts who made me feel very welcome. Towards the end of my stay, I fell sick, and they immediately helped me get medicine and lovingly shared their homemade food with me. At a moment when I felt really vulnerable, their care and support meant so much, and I am deeply grateful. The house is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, comfortable atmosphere. And the beach is only a 2 minute walk. Their helpers are also such sweet and friendly ladies,we shared many laughs together, which made my stay even more memorable. I genuinely appreciate the kindness and hospitality I received, and I highly recommend Rohit and Vanita’s beach house to anyone visiting Chennai.

+This homestay provides really a home for their guests because they are treating them like family members. It was so fun and enriching, chatting and laughing with Rohit and his wife and their friends plus the other guest, sitting together in the evenings and having snacks and drinks. They also provided very nice lunch to me. The room was very spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The location is also very nice, 5 minutes walking close to the beach, close to some nice temples, close to shops, supermarkets and eateries. There is also a nice beach food street nearby in 10 Minutes to walk. I can highly recommend to choose this homestay.

“Outstanding venue for beach lovers.Its across the property.Quiet neighborhood.Warm couple as hosts.”
+Very friendly host.A couple.Well done up house.Lots of rules and regulations shared early maybe because of deviant guest in the past.Served me homely food upon request.I was not well when I came in and so felt comfortable in the place as it was close to my place of assignment.The venue is fantastic...super close (Across the road)to a beach.
−The AC in my room above my head was leaking and so I had water dripping on my head till the shirt was wet.It was fixed by the next evening.

+It's a very good home stay. Beach is near by. Just be aware there will be Rs.500 cleaning fee per stay above booking charges if you are booking through Booking.com Both owner's are good people, very accommodating.
