“The sewage should be resolved before they take bookings”
+Bed was comfortable, room was clean
−There was a terrible sewage smell in our room, which we had to sleep through -they offered us another room but it was just as bad. Made the stay very disappointing. Seems like the whole sewage line of the property had a problem.

−Awful smell in the room from the drains. Staff not helpful when tried to discuss this with them. Breakfast brought out on cold plate meaning it went cold very quickly.

+The room was comfortable and a 30 second walk to the pub/restaurant where the food was great. Lovely breakfast and a great place to eat in the evening. Worth booking a table in advance for the evening, it was a full house when we went (Sat 24th October).
−There wasn't much room to store suitcases in our room (no.5), which meant having to put suitcases on the bed when we wanted to get changed. There was a cupboard where you could hang clothes but a suitcase stand would be a nice addition.

“Nice room, shame about the smell.”
+The pub side was lovely with very good food. Staff were friendly and very polite. Breakfast was excellent! Coffee machine in the room was great and there were nice toiletries included (not that I used, they just looked good quality). Good quality linen available including extra pillows if you needed them.
−The massive issue was the smell of the drains. It was revolting and there was no escaping it. We had to leave the bathroom fan on all night but as soon as you opened the door, the smell flooded the room. I left my shower scrunchy in the bathroom along with other toiletries, it had to be thrown out when I got home as it had absorbed the stench of the drains. We were room 2 and our friends were in room 3 with the same issue. If it hadn't been for this problem then it would have been a very pleasant stay.

+Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean. Location was good for our event.
−There was an horrific stench of drainage issues. We had 2 rooms...room 3 and 6. Room 3 was significantly worse. Room 6 was bad enough. Our clothes, suitcase and belongings smelt of the stench even when we got home. Really spoilt the stay. We told the girl behind the bar who confirmed they had ongoing issues. Not really good enough.

+The host and staff were wonderful. Good facilities, fridge, plenty of parking, decent TV, excellent restaurant on site. The room is great and suited us perfectly even as an older couple .
