“Birthday break ruined”
+There was nothing to like about the property we were booked for 2 nights and left early the next day, we would of left the same day but we're tired from travelling and the journey home would be too much for my partner.
−Everything, the room was small, the bed and bedding were below basic standard, the shower was faulty and there was no TV to watch either downstairs in the reception area or the bedroom, the window didn't shut properly and the wind made me feel like the roof was falling apart

−Have to mention this, if you get room number 12 or any other room for matter , check the windows are secure please, ours in room 12 wasn't! If a child had climbed on the chair infromt of the window and pushed the window open, it would been about a 50ft drop to its death, the window handle didnt even work, we was moved to another room after raising the issue

+It was not far from the shops and attractions at all, the owner was really friendly and polite, beds were comfortable, plenty of plug sockets, complimentary soap and sachet of shampoo, Working TV and WIFI.
−Room wasn't cleaned properly, the guests kept slamming the front door, the pull cord string for the bathroom light was so short nobody could reach it so we had no light and we couldn't shut the windows.

+Nice and clean bathroom. Clean tidy room. The bed was absolutely fantastic not cheap I had several brilliant nights kip. 5 mins walk from the front.
−Not much tbh, the shower played up on my last night and the decor is a little tired but for a 3 star it was as you would expect. especially for the price.

“Very nice staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.”
+I'm giving five stars, because I have been coming to Blackpool four times in five years. And all the other hotels are basically the same quality. Because everything in Blackpool is very old. But the quality of service I received at The Avon Hotel has been excellent. The owner gives you his personal phone number, if you need something. The location is perfect if you are going to The Winter Gardens, the tower or the beach. Near the plenty of restaurants and things to do. Very secure hotel. Only people staying there have a key to get into the hotel. And the hotel has a Ring camera doorbell. I'm from the states and I know hotels I have been to in Coventry, Glasgow are very different to what Americans expect from a hotel. London and Manchester have the same quality of hotels like the states. If you are going to Blackpool and want to be walking distance from everything. Stay at the Avon hotel.
