“Quiet location, amazing breakfast and wonderful hospitality”
+The location is great, within walking distance of Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. There are also plenty of good eateries within a 20-minute walking radius. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of Ella town and genuinely feels like a world away, although the town centre is only a 5-minute ride. The breakfast is incredible. A great fruit platter, made-to-order eggs exactly how you like them, delicious Sri Lankan coconut pancakes, etc., all served with that signature Sri Lankan hospitality. Siva, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful. Full of tips and helpful ideas, he even accompanied us to show us a shortcut for one of our hikes. Overall, a really lovely place to stay if you want somewhere peaceful, but still close enough to everything in Ella.
−The place looks a bit dated, the shower can be done better with a shower curtain etc

“Wonderful stay in Ella”
+We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and caring, always going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect,even helping with laundry, which was much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and varied, offering a great start to each day. The whole experience felt warm and welcoming, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ella.

+We loved the staff and the location in the hills away from the main Ella crowds. Food was good and we had a wonderful foot massage after dinner!

+The service here was truly phenomenal. Siva, who runs the lodge, could not have done more for us - he was attentive, kind, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our stay. The cook was outstanding, and the food was genuinely some of the best we have ever eaten. The bedrooms were lovely, very comfortable, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The only issue for us was that the lodge has a Labrador who is kept confined alone in a room. We personally found this very upsetting, and it affected our stay. We felt that if the dog were allowed to roam freely, he would likely be much calmer, and we think it’s important for other guests to be aware of this. It’s also worth noting that the lodge does not have a license to sell alcohol, so bear that in mind if that’s important to you. Overall, despite these points, the level of service was exceptional and truly hard to fault.
−Bruno the labrador was kept in a concrete room with no bed and barely let out. We found this upsetting and consistently tried to get him out and about.

“Heerlijke plek middenin het groen heel dichtbij het centrum.”
+Hele fijne accomodatie net buiten het centrum van Ella. Met de tuktuk, die om de hoek klaar staan, ben je zo in het centrum, terwijl je bij de lodge geniet van de rust, de groene omgeving en het uitzicht. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en uitgebreid en er zijn eekhoorns en vogels die je kunt zien vanuit je balkon of de ontbijttafel. Absolute aanrader!

“super Unterkunft in der Nähe der Nine Arches Bridge und Little Adam's Peak”
+Die Tea Forest Lodge liegt etwa 12 Minuten mit dem Tuk Tuk von Ella, was für uns kein Problem war. Wir wollten fußläufig von der Nine Arches Bridge und vom Little Adam's Peak wohnen. In 2 Wochen Rundreise waren wir in kaum einem anderen Hotel, in dem das Personal so nett und hilfsbereit war. Selbst unsere Wäsche wurde gegen kleines Entgelt gewaschen. Unser Familienzimmer war einfach, aber zweckmäßig. Schöner Blick vom Balkon. Auch das Frühstück war super, das beste, das wir in Sri Lanka hatten. Dem Besitzer der Unterkunft gehört auch ein Massagesalon, den ich genutzt habe. Die Massage war gut, wenn auch nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Salon war einfach, aber sauber und der Preis super.

+Die Lage ist sehr schön, Adams Peak Viewpoint und Nine Arch Bridge sind fußläufig erreichbar, nach Ella kommt man bequem per TukTuk. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben einen Kochkurs gemacht, was toll war. Alle Absprachen bezüglich Reiseorganisation haben bestens funktioniert. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert.
−Nachts war es doch ziemlich kalt - Mitte Feb. und die Decken dafür etwas dünn (wir haben mit Klamotten geschlafen).

+Nous avons été accueillis par SIVA qui c'est très bien occupé de nous pendant notre séjour de 3 jours. Il était vraiment à nos petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel, très copieux, le meilleur que nous ayons eu. Chambre avec balcon dans la nature , à 10 minutes en tuk tuk du centre ville, top.
