“Fine B&B for a short stay.”
+The breakfast was generally okay. I asked to have porridge which was granted, but very watery. It was quiet, but very small.
−The location was farther from city center than I expected. The facility was fine, but the bathroom - though private - was across the hall. The entrance was with a key box and rather complex. We never saw the host. Only the breakfast server who was fine.

+Convenient walk to heart of Inverness. Nice aesthetic. Very secure.
−Some creaking floorboards (when we weren’t moving) and other sounds through floor & walls that disrupted our sleep, reducing what would’ve otherwise been a good Comfort score. We also had submitted our breakfast order ahead of the deadline but the message wasn’t read, so we were surprised in the morning and had to eat offsite. Owner apologised for it profusely though.

“Very dissappointing”
+The location for us was good.
−Noisy pipes or noices in the walls. Very thin towels. No ensuite as advertised as bathroom across the corridor. No tissues , bad lighting.

“Glad to be gone.”
+Unexpectedly one of the owners was there and assisted. Otherwise I would have been clueless as they mailed instructions as I was arriving. She was kind and brought a snack from the grocery store but no info about surrounding restaurants. Her breakfast the next morning was very good. Nicely appointed and clean.
−My room was the size of a broom closet and bathroom was down a few stairs. Their entry instructions were so late in arriving that I was clueless. No info about surrounding restaurants or bars. I have never been offered a closet at that price! And one needs to be able to haul luggage up 20 stairs.

+Location, walkable to downtown restaurants and the train station. Bed was a good size, longer and wider than most doubles. Quiet. Host was available to help with check in.
−Duvet too heavy, lighter for warmer weather would be more comfortable. Towel warmer rack did not seem to work.
