“I will be staying here again when I return to Japan”
+Tama Ryoken is a five-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. I booked the room with the western style bed and had plenty of room. The place was kept very clean by the owners. The owners were wonderful hosts to this solo traveler and made for a very pleasant first five days in country.

+Pros: The location is really good! It’s close to shopping areas, restaurants, and even Don Quijote (Donki). It’s also conveniently located near a train station with access to the Yamanote Line, making it easy to get around Tokyo. The homeowners are also very accommodating, kind, and hospitable. They make sure you have everything you need during your stay, which really makes the experience comfortable and welcoming. The price is definitely one of the biggest advantages. Given the location, it’s incredibly affordable,around 5 times cheaper than many accommodations in the surrounding area.
−Cons: The property is quite old, and the room partitions are very thin, so you can clearly hear noise from other rooms. If you’re a light sleeper, this might be something to consider. The pillows are also quite thin, so they might not be comfortable for everyone, especially if you prefer thicker or softer pillows. That said, don’t set your expectations too high given the price. For such an affordable stay in a very convenient location, I think it offers great value for money.

“fantastic”
+Staff were super nice and accomadating, even gave us free samples of local chocolates. Fantastic vibe and environment, lots of eats around the area and super close to the train station which was very convenient. Air conditioning blows as cold as you want and the room and building itsself had a super cool and cozy vibe. Overall a fantastic place, me and my friend had a 14 day trip where we stayed at 4 different locations and this one was by far the best despite being quite cheap in my opinion.
−Dont really have much to say for this there were some small things but I dont want nitpicks to water down just how much I would recommend this place.

“Great value and location”
+This is an absolutely fantastic location and super great value for your money. Owners are fantastic. It is an older building so expect the usual with older Japanese buildings, but for that price and location and the owners I can't recommend it enough.

“Amazing and wonderful staff.”
+The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were cute and facilitated a good place to come back to after a long day of exploring. We would definitely book again if we come back to Tokyo.

“A traditional Japanese stay with kind hosts who handled an unexpected check-in issue professionally.”
+I liked the traditional Japanese atmosphere, cleanliness, comfort, and convenient location. The elderly couple who own the ryokan were very kind, respectful, and welcoming. I also appreciated their willingness to discuss the room issue and eventually provide a more suitable room for my stay.
−The main issue was at check-in, when the room initially provided was very small and different from the traditional Japanese room I was expecting based on the booking and photos. I contacted Booking.com and provided photos of the actual room, and the matter was eventually resolved amicably with the property.

+Wirkt sehr authentisch und traditionell und ist sicher eine Erfahrung wert. Wir fanden die Schlafmatten auch sehr bequem. Die Lage war auch super.
−Große Menschen müssen schon sehr auf ihren Kopf aufpassen. Wände sind sehr dünn. Bad auf dem Gang ist auch nicht super komfortabel

“Une adresse qu on n oublie pas”
+Le charme de la maison , typique et intemporelle L emplacement La disponibilité des propriétaires et la clarté de leurs explications concernant le fonctionnement du séjour. Il y a quelques règles à respecter, et le logement, avec ses infrastructures anciennes, ne conviendra pas forcément aux plus exigeants.
