“Five Star Experience”
+The location was amazing. A beautiful view of the sea and a short walk to town. The staff worked very hard to make our stay very pleasant. Would highly recommend.

+I cannot say enough good things about Syrou Melathron. Friendly staff, gorgeous views, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast!! Stunning views from the balcony while eating breakfast. We had a balcony room with equally beautiful views. Easy walk into town, to cafes, restaurants, and shopping. We loved roaming the streets in the evening after dinner.
−Absolutely nothing to report of a dislike. Good information to have; there is a free public bus available from the ferry that you can take that drops you off across the street from the hotel (we did not know about it). I highly recommend it on the way up. Much easier going down to the ferry with the luggage. :)

“I loved everything about Syros and this hotel.”
+The most amazing location, right across from the water. We just walked across the road and down to the water. Amazing. Breakfast is up on the top floor, giving a beautiful place to sit and start the day. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff.
−I loved everything about Syros and this hotel. Nothing to fault.

“Lovely stay.”
+Lovely location. Great view from our patio. Roof top garden breakfast was nice. Rooms were small but great character and decor. Beds and pillows were comfortable.
−Would have enjoyed more than an espresso on the deck in the morning.

“Tragic ! A beautul building run by the inept. I had a dirty bathroom and black mould in my bedroom but management couldn”
+It’s a beautiful old building in a fine location with lovely view
−My bath had scum in it, there were hairs in my basin and poo marks in the loo so it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Even worse was the black mould in my bedroom. Most disgusting! Management leaves a lot to be desired as they insisted that they had checked the room despite evidence to the contrary. Disappointing and stressful to say the least.

+The buildings and the room are wonderful. The location is great.
−The concept of the breakfast service didn‘t work out. The staff was clearly overstrained. It was our second time in this hotel and the prices were unfoundedly much higher than the last time.

“Simply Beautiful”
+I loved everything about this hotel. The beautiful neoclassical historic property with real character, the architecture and décor (high ceilings, ornate details, antique furnishings, chandeliers) make it feel elegant and create a lovely old-world atmosphere, while the sea views make it even more special. Staff were friendly, Breakfast on the rootop were excellent. Location only a few hundred metres from the hustle and bustle of Ermoupoli but in the quieter Vaporia area, and even shorter walk to Asteria Beach. The Highlight hotel of our 2 weeks in the Greek Islands
−Nothing. It was excellent.
