“Overpriced for what it is”

−Definitely a bare-bones accommodation. Very overpriced compared to similar stays in Gerupuk.

+Huge room and pretty clean. No AC in this room but the fans keep it decently comfortable. Plenty of water in the room and decent bathroom. Nice view from the porch. It’s a little out of the way but you can rent a scooter to explore - if you don’t want to rent a scooter it will not be the best place to stay for you.
−The dogs are incredibly loud. Normally I can sleep through a lot of noise but they would wake me up - this isn’t the hotel’s fault but should be noted for your stay. When we turned the ceiling fan on, it blew grass from the roof everywhere, which to staff did offer to clean when the arrived the next day. Outside area could do with a little love to make it look nice

+I absolutely loved this accommodation and would choose to stay here again anytime. The view was breathtaking, especially watching the beautiful sunrise every morning. I truly enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend this place!☺️🤗🌺

“Amazing”
+Bedroom in front of the sea, I was waking up and falling asleep with the sound of the waves. Bed really comfy, staff available and friendly. They left a book with all the necessary informations and numbers for any need: taxi, laundry, surf instructors, restaurants nearby. Laundry done in one day: gave them the stuff in the morning and got back at night. Of course the best place for who is looking for a quiet and nice natural place where to sleep. In front of the spot for who wants to surf.

“Basic budget stay at Gerupuk beachfront”
+The apartment had a kitchen, staff were friendly, ocean front. The kitchen was well equipped and the mini fridge worked. Couch was comfortable.
−People seem to rave about this place but our front door was broken and banged in the wind the whole stay. Because it was broken when it was locked, there was a huge gap for someone to push their way in. The aircon leaked and didn't manage to cool the room. The aircon had clearly been leaking for some time due to water damage marks all down the wall. It made the floor very slippery. No toilet paper allowed in toilets, shower head had no actual holder so it was hand held, no screen so bathroom was a wet room, hot water was boiling hot or cold no in between. They told us after we arrived they would only take cash.. no cash available in the area. Probably best to be a bit more organised and let people know beforehand as we had to try and organise another taxi out of town to get to an ATM. No actual curtains, just sheer ones when people are going past in boats all the time and can see in. You definitely had to be awake with the sun. The apartment had twin beds with no option to be a queen bed which was a shame. If they maintained and fixed broken bits the place would be great, but just seems a bit uncared for.
