“OK for a night or two - expect the basics and you’ll be fine”
+The privacy of the room. The window that is not seeing anyone or anything was also a plus of the room. You do see them sweeping, but it feels like they do it because they have to, scrolling on their phones, or because their mum told them to. The floors look just as dirty afterwards. I don’t mind that much, but when you’re asked to take off your shoes, you expect the floor to be clean, right? The room itself was clean, though.
−They also have a dog, a big puppy. It’s lovely, and I love dogs. On the first day I left my shoes where they asked me to, and the puppy started chewing them. I found them somewhere completely different. I didn’t mind much, as they’re old anyway, but after that I always took them into my room. I don’t think this place will change any time soon. I stepped on a nail on the wooden balcony while talking to the son, and he just said “oh, watch out”. If you owned this place, wouldn’t you want to know where that nail is?

“Peaceful stay with a lovely local family”
+I stayed for 10 days and had a great time. The location is very peaceful, just outside the city. My wooden room was spacious and comfortable, with large terraces on each floor where you can exercise, relax, or enjoy your morning coffee. The local family is super friendly and always happy to help. They really make you feel welcome. I would especially recommend this place for longer stays of a week or more. It’s a comfortable and relaxing place to make your base while exploring Kampot and the surrounding area.

On a également pu faire notre lessive.
