“Highly recommended!!”
+Cheeky Monkey is a magical little place - hosts Agus and Sarah are so welcoming and helpful, and all of their staff are incredibly friendly. The 3 day, 2 night trek was magical, unforgettable. Our amazing guide, Rian, and his bubbly assistant, Yoris, made the trip an absolute blast. They were both so kind, attentive, funny, and I learned so much! We were so well fed with such great food throughout, and after dinner conversations or games flowed into the night. The crew were extra conscientious, packing food and scraps away after all meals, rather than feeding the wildlife like we saw with the other guides. My stay at the accommodation itself (guest houses) was peaceful, comfortable. Their restaurant offers some great local dishes and conversation, as their team quickly introduced themselves and before long we were sharing stories and jokes. Their resident dogs Cheeky, Dora, and Bandal round out their wonderful team. As a solo traveller, Cheeky Monkey was a great place to stay and trek with. I met families with young children, friends, and other solo travellers - everyone was welcomed, smiles all round.

+We loved the location being outside of the main touristic location. We also loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, there was incredibly good live music and the staff is super talkative and friendly. You almost felt like included in the cheeky monkey family. The food is awesome, we had amazing vegetarian Rendang and the best banana pancakes ever.

“Beautiful property with the best staff!”
+Absolutely loved my stay at Cheeky Monkeys! I joined a 2D/1N jungle trek with Darwin and Mowgli - the two of them are a great team and combine knowledge and enthusiasm in the best way possible. I could not have asked for a better experience - thank you very much! I would also like to thank the rest of the team, including Ade and Santa, for their hospitality and friendliness throughout my stay. Would always be happy to return to Cheeky Monkeys! While the location is a little outside the centre of Bukit Lawang (20 min by foot), the location offers a relaxing garden and the walk through the village is very beautiful.

+Our stay with Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys was incredible. We stayed for one night before starting our Jungle Trek. The room was very cozy and fit the vibe of the area you are staying in perfectly. The bed was comfortable and both the room and bathroom were clean. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and you feel so welcomed to stay at Cheeky Monkeys. Our favourite stay of our travels so far 10/10 would recommend!

+Everything was excellent. The staff were attentive, welcoming and genuinely friendly. They made sure I felt at home from the very first moment. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the food delicious. The jungle guides are extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about the rainforest. I especially appreciated their strong commitment to ethical and responsible treatment of nature and wildlife. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, I would happily stay here again.

“Correcte car bon restaurant mais la chambre n’était pas confortable”

−La chambre est vétuste, le ventilateur n’est pas efficace et très bruyant, la salle de bain sale, le wifi ne fonctionne pas très bien, j’ai eu chaud et je n’ai pas bien dormi Ne surtout pas réserver en Airbnb car la chambre est horrible et plus cher que les autres chambres
