+The staff were great and friendly
−The property does not look like the pictures. There wasn't a clothes rack or hooks to hang clothes in the room. There is a preschool on the ground floor which means the garden is now a part of the school. There was also construction happening during our stay which meant there was a dust tarp covering most of the view into the garden.

+I cannot recommend Sum Jaipur Hotel highly enough! It is a true hidden gem,a peaceful oasis tucked away from the vibrant and busy streets of Jaipur. From the moment we arrived, the host and the entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were exceptionally kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. The hotel was spotless, and its beautiful retro design created a unique atmosphere that made us feel like we had stepped back in time. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, making our stay truly special and memorable. If you're looking for a charming, quiet, and authentic place to stay in Jaipur, this is it. I will definitely be coming back the next time my travels bring me to this wonderful city. Highly recommended!

“This was one of the best stays we've ever had and made our trip to India even more memorable”
+The property was clean, tidy, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated with traditional motifs, air-conditioned, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The manager and the rest of the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. The manager even shared his contact details with us and was always available whenever we needed anything. The café was under maintenance during our stay, so unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try it. However, since we were the only guests at the time, the manager kindly upgraded us to larger rooms. He also arranged lunch for us by ordering exactly what we wanted and serving it in the common room. The mango smoothie he offered us was absolutely delicious and is a must-try! The included breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection of traditional dishes. This was one of the best stays we've ever had and made our trip to India even more memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

“Charming boutique hotel with plenty character”
+This was the most charming boutique hotel in the whole of Rajasthan. An oasis of peace in busy Jaipur, nicely curated to the utmost detail, filled with antiques - you won’t have a knick knack anywhere, it’s all real antiques. Comfortable and convenient. The service is sterling, they really know how to look after guests here despite the heat everything was perfect.
−Nothing. All was perfect.

“Don't fall for the pictures!”
+The best part and the only good part about the stay were the two people managing the property Subhash and Kamlesh such courteous attendants.
−The stay is advertised as opening up to a green luscious lawn but the reality is far different. The lawn is part of a school and the accommodation has a separate entry on the first floor. Facility wise the room was spacious but that in itself comes with challenges of cooling it down and with none of the ACs working it was a rather inhabitable stay. For the price paid one would hope to get more amenities in terms of toiletries too which was bare minimum.

“Home stay just like a home”
+The staff is very courteous and was a great help. A common sitting area is amazing. Cafe sum is a very cute cafe and earthly. Mr. Subhash, the manager is very helpful, kind and polite.
−Ac and fan were making sound in the night. It was a small thing but a person like me had difficulty sleeping. Small suggestion if night light can be provided in the rooms.

“Fabulous stay in a great location”
+Subhash the manager went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Anything we needed he was happy to help with. His colleague Complice was also so friendly and kind, and the security guard who guards the property was also so kind, making sure we got into our ubers safely and smoothly. Thank you Subhash and team! The location of SUM is lovely if you are looking for a more peaceful stay - it is a more residential area and it's just a short taxi drive to all the main sites. The area is also great for good restaurants so there is plenty on your doorstep. The communal areas in SUM are lovely and the breakfasts great. Baagh room was lovely - beautifully decorated and clean.
−Baithak room was a little small for two people and there is limited wardrobe space to unpack. However, it was clean and still perfectly comfortable.
