“A warm family feeling”
+This small hotel is located just 3 minutes on foot from Registan square in a quiet neighborhood. It is cosy and cute, with a beautifully decorated yard. The greatest highlight though is the stuff, which is very kind, friendly and eager to help with anything. Dion and the others made it feel like a family experience and we thank them dearly!!

“Great base to explore the heart of Samarkand.”
+Lovely courtyard. Great breakfast. Nice rooms. Good staff.
−The bathroom drains were a little smelly, but we kept the fan on to compensate.

“Nice location but a bit of a let down”
+The location is amazing for exploring Samarkand by foot. Very close to all the main sights. The courtyard is very pretty and the rooms are a good size. Luggage storage was available on check out day before our onward journey.
−The room we had shared a window onto the stairs which was not ideal and meant it was noisy whenever anyone went past (this was especially annoying at 1am when a big group arrived). Sounds travels here and even the staff could be heard from downstairs. The sheets didn't quite fit the bed which was a shame and the bathroom was in need of repair. Get to breakfast early as they don't restock the food so it's easy to miss out.

“I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.”
+The location is good, but honestly, the city is big and we used taxis a lot anyway, so I don’t think staying in the center is that important.
−The hotel is very old and dirty. The bedsheets were covered in little fabric balls and stains. All the towels had stains too. I didn’t even want to sleep in the bed without pajamas. Everything in the bathroom was old and rusty. You can hear absolutely everything from the courtyard. One night a group of men were sitting outside and talking loudly until midnight. They only left after I complained. The pillows were very uncomfortable, too high and too hard. I had to sleep on a small decorative pillow because my neck was hurting. The breakfast was terrible. We could only eat pancakes and samsa. Everything else looked old and dried out. We didn’t even want to try it. I forgot my hairdryer in drawer. We checked out at 12, left our luggage at the hotel and came back two more times that day. Nobody told us that I had left something in the room. I also sent the hotel a message, but they never replied. I travel a lot and have stayed in many different hotels. I don’t expect luxury from a cheap hotel, but there is a big difference between a simple hotel and a dirty one. This place was just dirty.
