+A very lovely, well-equipped house with a fantastic view.
−Although the hosts had written that check-in was to take place the following day, nobody got in touch. Nor did anyone ask during our stay whether everything was alright. On departure, the bill was simply sent over in a rather impersonal manner. No instructions regarding check-out, no friendly farewell. Therefore, a very impersonal experience. There were no blackout blinds for some of the living room windows, and no TV or Netflix.

“Lovely, quiet and peaceful cottage.”
+Location is wonderful. The self catering Heron cottage looked out on the bay and was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to relax for our last two nights in Nova Scotia. It’s about 20 minutes from Digby which has several restaurants and is also the terminal for the ferry to Saint John. The cottage has a full kitchen, two bedrooms (1 king room, 1 twin bedroom) and 1 bath.
−I can’t think of anything. I would love to return and spend more time in the area.

“Perfect relaxing get away.”
+Property was beautiful! Laura & Gavin were wonderful hosts. Loved the peacefulness and the history of the main lodge. Children enjoyed the biking/hiking trails. Saw deer every morning. Enjoyed the quaint small towns surrounding.
−Not for those looking for busy bustling stay.

“We were very pleased with our choice and the host was very helpful changing our suite so that both couples had separate”
+The peaceful location, the garden, the traditional home and generous space. Very friendly and helpful host too. It is a drive out of Digby but worth it. There are lovely walks on the property down to the beach.
−We had a huge room but the head of the bed was nestled into a slanting ceiling and both my husband and I banged our heads several times. The angle is quite deceptive. This could be rectified by putting a trunk or something at the head of the bed to space it away from the wall and sloping ceiling.
