“not worth the amount charged”
+The location was good
−There was water damage to the ceiling and a dark red stain on the floor, that looked like a blood stain. I don't think it really was blood.

“Cool place but really old mattress”
+Very nice guy met us after check in to let us in - owner I think. Loved all the antique furnishings and Knick nacks. They provided coffee, milks, creamer, OJ, yogurts, bananas, donuts, muffins, frozen waffles, pop tarts, granola bars, dry cereal and oatmeal packets...
−Must call to check in after 9 PM. Expect A tall outdoor staircase to enter the second floor where the rooms are. Bed was very very old and not at all supportive. Not good for the two of us with chronic back issues. Shower head way too large for the space but otherwise the room was OK. Not a bad stay but the bed itself would prevent us from staying again.

“Convenient.”
+Only one mile from the train depot. Clean. Quiet. Loved the antique decor.
−The mattress and pillows need to be replaced and upgraded.

“If you like adventure in a small town stay here.”
+Quirky and different.
−The check in system was confusing. Breakfast was as bare bones as gets.

“Probably wont be back sorry”
+Location was good
−There was hair in the tub, the bed was uncomfortable, the shower had so little pressure I wsanot able to wash my hair and what's with the flashing red light on the shower head? The shower curtain holders were made of twisted wire and many fell off...

“I won't ever stay there again.”
+There was no breakfast, only a room with a microwave and a coffee maker.
−The proprietor advised us that even though the hotel was designated as pet friendly" he did not think it was and advised us that our small dog would be unsafe walking in the hotel corridor or outside, due to the roaming large dogs which he could not control and took no responsibility for. The room (#7) was extremely small. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The floor of the shower was cracked and unstable. The lobby was locked so that the only way we met the proprietor was by calling a phone number posted on the window. This is not a usual practice at a hotel.

“Convenient location for train excursion”
+Location to restaurants and train station. Large size of rooms. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The refrigerator worked well and kitchenette had all we needed.
−Cracked tiles on bathroom floor. No window in sleeping area.

“Quaint bedroom, nice location.”
+Breakfast was more than we thought it would be! Lots of options!
−The toilet flapper did not close after flushing except by hand.

+The hotel is very interesting and different kind of place to stay.
−There is no ice machine. I didn't want to spend money for a 10# bag of ice when all I needed was a cup full. Also, please indicate if the room is on the second floor. I had a very hard time making it up the stairs.
