“Overall a lovely stay, as part of our road trip, just the bed situation should be looked at if booking for 5, 3 children”
+It was a fab location, staff was lovely! Pool was lush!! And the overall accommodation was nice!
−We booked for 5 (2 adults and 3 children) they ask for ages which are 6,12 and 16. However the hotel expect the 3 children to stay in one bed which they cannot do, we had to go and buy a blow up bed for the third child.

“Great value for money!”
+Great location - easy walk or drive into Monterrey and the indoor pool facility was great. As a family with two teenagers, we got the room with three queen beds and it was perfect for us - so much space, we loved it!
−Not having staff on site was a little weird, but wasn’t a major issue.

+I didn’t have to check in or check out in the front office. I did everything online. The room was clean. My nephew really enjoyed the pool.

“Overall it was a nice stay, but must tone down the fragrance.”
+Carla the front desk associate was kind and helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby was nice. The facilities seemed clean as well.
−The cleaning product fragrance was much too strong in the room. We had every window and door open for hours to air out. Also the floor was so sticky, it felt disgusting on our bare feet.

“Luxurious room for a great price, a stones throw from the town and coast”
+This hotel deserves more stars, we stayed in 4* much worse than here! The room was the nicest one we had on our trip and we stayed in 5 different locations, it seemed newly renovated as it was spotless and faultless! Really nicely decorated, huge tv, coffee machine, big bed, nice shower, walkable to town. Indoor heated pool but we never used it so cannot comment, but would definitely stay again if we were in the area!! Recommend 100%

“The room was clean. It was very close to Carmel, The attendant when we first arrived at the front desk was very cordial”
+The pool was nice, the room was clean and they had a great coffee maker that made cappuccinos and mocha
−I was cold all night. The room was sanitized with a very strong cleaner, so we open the windows to air it out while we were out to dinner when we came back the room was pretty chilly and I put the heat on after about 15 minutes of it blowing out cold air when it was on heat mode, I turned it off. There were no extra blankets and it was after the office was closed so I put a couple of towels on the bed to help with warmth. We closed the windows and I bundled up with my large sweater and thick socks. Unfortunately, because of that, I did not sleep well. If it had been heated, this would have gotten a much better review.

“Nice”
+Our 1st night here at Stargrazer Hotel I would have to say that Carla at the front desk made our night. We drive in and noticed that it was 2 stories. They assigned us a room on the 2nd level. We both have issues with our knees; but mine is worse and I have a hard time going up stairs. Carla gave us a room on the 1st floor.

+I absolutely love the decor and clever layout to achieve comfort in a small space. The colors and tile kept making me smile. The little kitchenette and dining booth were both adorable, and allowed us to enjoy preparing and eating some of our meals in the room. The keyless entry is genius- no more lost cards or forgotten keys! My son and hubby loved the coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby, and the indoor pool was a blessing for the rainy days. The staff members we spoke with were kind and helpful. They have done an excellent job of updating in a beautiful way while still preserving the original architecture. Well done Stargazer!
−The bed. Other reviews mentioned comfortable beds, and with the effort put into updating the spaces, I assumed that a comfortable or at least decent bed would be a given. Unfortunately, that is not the case for room 230. The floor does sink some in the room, which is understandable in an older build. However, it sinks at the head of the bed, and there is nothing to level the bed. So, you either have to sleep with your feet elevated above your head or you have to flip around and sleep with your head at the foot of the bed. I flipped around, which would have been fine, but the mattress was hard enough that I actually checked to see if it was a box spring. It also kept making a loud and annoying noise every time I got in and out of my side, and as I weight less than 140 pounds, I was surprised it couldn't seem to handle my weight. I loved this place at the start, but by the third night, I was so sick of the bed that I was longing to be home already. I'm torn on staying here again. If I happen to have gotten the only bad bed, then this is our new home away from home, but if not, we'll have to find another place. The only other thing that was a bummer were the shutters. “It was a great quick overnight stay on our way down the coast”
+Comfortable spacious room for a couple, parking very close to the room. Some free hot drinks in the reception, the hot chocolate was super tasty. Didnt have time to try out the indoor pool but it looked great from the outside.
