“It's cheap but it's a place for long term residents rather than travellers.”

“Confirmed booking, but no bed available , wasted money on a taxi and wasted time”
−I booked a bed at Star Hostel in Almaty through Booking.com and received a confirmed reservation. However, when I arrived at the hostel and showed them my booking confirmation, they told me that they had no beds available and refused to accommodate me. This was very disappointing and inconvenient. I wasted both time and money on a taxi to get there, even though my reservation had already been confirmed. If a hostel has no available beds, it should not accept and confirm reservations through Booking.com. Guests rely on confirmed bookings, especially when travelling. I hope Booking.com investigates this property and takes appropriate action so that other guests do not experience the same problem.

“Escape this place!”
+Nothing
−Wasn't accurate: weren't available for our group of 5 despite the reservation. More, the staff didn't do any effort to communicate with us and tried to just shoo us off.
